Maybe she didn't want to go to the store, or couldn't for some reason. Who cares why? Lots of people use the courier services, so I would assume they all have a preference. There is no suspicion that the ticket was lost. Quite the opposite. The fact that she tried to claim it would imply that she has possession of the ticket.
