The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
I'm thinking about buying more tickets, but the big question for me is how many would I buy? I posted above that I won 40 bucks (cash) and I did buy one ticket with that money. I still have the other twenty dollar bill in my wallet, so maybe I'll buy another ticket with that. For now I'm keeping my eye on the raffle just to see what happens. Sales have been slow... about 3600 a day, so if they remain slow that'll have some bearing on whether or not I'll buy more. I'm a fan of raffles..

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
The actual number of tickets sold for the first interim drawing, as posted on the Raffle web page, was 122,119. Your estimate was spot on, winterbird!

Probability of winning with multiple tickets
It is true that the probability of winning the first prize is 1 in 500,000. It is also true that the probability of winning the second prize, assuming you didn't win the first prize, is 1 in 499,999. The probability of one raffle ticket winning a million dollars is the sum of the probabilities of that raffle ticket winning the first prize OR the second prize OR the third prize OR the fourth prize. One raffle ticket cannot win more than once, which simplifies the calculation a bit. Probab

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Calculating the straight odds of a raffle is easy, at least by prize tier. You divide the number of tickets sold by the number of prizes. Like for example, if by the end it sells 900,000 tickets, then the odds for the million are 1:90,000. If it sells 1,400,000 tickets, the odds are 1:140,000. There are additional prizes added at the half mil increments of sales. So if it sells 1,600,000 tickets the odds are 1:106,6666. Your personal odds based on how many tickets you buy are equal

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Not even a scratch off? I've bought multiple raffle tickets the last time but I'm one and done on this one. There are only 10 winners if 1,000,000 and less are sold and 20 winners if all 2 million raffles are sold. I know last time I don't even think they reach a million in sales but it'll be interesting to see how this one does given our current state of affairs.

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
A $20 ticket for a chance, to win $1 million is steep I agreed with you. I balk at $5 lottery tickets, there's no way I can justify $20 for a chance to win $1 million. I'd honestly rather buy 4 $5 Mega millions tickets(And I absolutely detest $5 Mega millions tickets with every fiber of my being) for a chance to win $496 million than 1 $20 Millionaire raffle ticket.

Rising Gas Prices and the Lottery
I couldn't agree more with that statement if I had to. I just happen to be in the middle of taking a break from playing the games I usually play but it's not because I'm keeping an eye on myself. It's because of that Florida Lottery Millionaire Raffle. Tickets went on sale on March 1st and cost 20 bucks a pop and the final drawing to win a million dollars isn't until July 2nd. I've been averaging buying one ticket per month. (That's not true, I bought 2 tickets in May because 40 bucks c

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
MY apologies if you've already seen this. https://floridalottery.com/promotions/raffle The Florida Lottery website is publishing the number of tickets sold. As of 4/10/2026 148,980 tickets have been sold . Scroll down a bit and you'll see it. Also I've read the official rules. Apparently there is no claiming anonymously. See below. By entering the MILLIONAIRE RAFFLE, a player gives his/her permission for the Florida Lottery to photograph and/or videotape and record the winner w

Ten years later, Florida Lottery Millionaire Raffle is back
Because of my previous lack of interest I have not participated in raffles before. However, this one seems quite interesting because of the multiple chances to win per ticket and available prizes. I also have an opportunity to acquire some tickets this time and am really leaning toward doing just that. But, I am surprised at the lack of posts in this thread and so I ask: Is there anyone here that is considering getting tickets for the raffle or knows why it may be considered best to avoi
