My Made-Up State's Lottery
Thanks for all the nice comments. I don't know if I'd like to actually work for a lottery, then I couldn't play. But anyway, here's another game description. What's your fantasy? A Bentley? A trip around the world? A house? Fantasy 5 can make that happen. Jackpots start at $200,000, and have reached almost $2 million. No other pick 5 game in the country comes close. And the lower tier payouts are also good. So Fantasy 5 isn't just big, it's Ginormus(R)!Just pick 5 numbers from 49, or have the Dre

VIDEO: Why we hate computerized drawings
It's a random set of numbers generated by the lottery ticket machine, but not a computerized drawing. The drawing is what determines the numbers for everyone. Your quick pick is just for your one ticket and you are given the choice of whether to pick the numbers yourself or not.
Besides, I don't think it would be practical for every lottery retailer to have a full ball drawing studio behind the counter just to pick the numbers on your ticket.

New York Dream Team 5/1/13 - 5/31/13
this is a sample of what a winning ticket looks like if this was an actual ticket in 10 seconds it will dissolve into dust.. this is only a prop .. in the event of a real winning ticket you would go to the closest ticket machine and cash that sucker....

California Raffle Drawings
Lots of people have been e-mailing me about the California raffle tickets that are being sold to them every time they buy a SuperLotto Plus ticket.
Apparently, the California Lottery held the first raffle drawing on Sunday (and will continue holding a raffle drawing every Sunday until June 16th), but they have not posted the winning numbers anywhere.
In fact, I contacted the California Lottery today, and they confirmed that the results will not be posted on their site until Wednesday, so t

$107 million lottery winner turns out to be son of Marriott president
Why not? It's a gamble. The urge to gamble does not lesson with the accumulation of money. Nor does the lottery ticket machine check your bank accounts before it prints you a ticket.
Besides, who is to judge who needs the money and who doesn't? You? LOL. It erks me to no end when people think they can judge who is deserving or not when the lottery is won.

Millions of people play the lottery. Some may have a lucky strike and win a couple dollars, or even a couple hundred dollars. $216M Mega Millions lottery winner is from New Jersey
N.J. has a long history with the lottery. The first online game was in New Jersey. (Online meaning a ticket machine connected to a central computer to record the numbers.) With the lottery such an integrated part of society in N.J., tickets do indeed sell well.

The Anti-Quick Pick System
A little fuzzy on this one. I don't get why not line E? The RNG used in the ticket machine is a different mechanism than used in NON-computerized draws. I'd only use QP when the drawings are computerized because then at least it's a similar method.
