Good omen? Bird collision preceded NJ lottery winner's $90 million Mega Millions jackpot
I knew something was coming: Window strike foretold massive win By Kate Northrop The New Jersey lottery winner of a $90 million Mega Millions jackpot knew something was headed their way when a bird crashed into their window the night they unknowingly became the state's newest multi-millionaire. A bird strike on a New Jersey lottery player's window was a sign that foretold their $90 million Mega Millions jackpot win, the winner said. The anonymous player told New Jersey Lottery of

I know that this is technically not a lottery question, it's about PCH Sweepstakes bankruptcy .
So, Publisher's Clearinghouse had a Sweepstakes where if you win you were supposed to win millions of dollars for life through an annuity program. They even had an annuity program where when you die someone you chose as your heir, gets millions of dollars until they die. Recently and suddenly, PCH went bankrupt, leaving winners suddenly in financial ruin. One winner won the annuity Sweepstakes roughly 10 years ago and quit his job since he was promised millions of dollars until his death. He was

Millionaire for Life multi-state lottery game to replace Cash4Life and Lucky for Life in February
I haven't paid any attention to this game nut I just saw it on the NY lottery's home page for the first time. Obviously everybody gets to decide whether or not they want to play, but here are a couple of thoughts. The first is largely about playing this or playing PB (or MM) when the jackpot is still small. Generally, at least 8 to 10 million people (5 to 7 isn't unusual for Monday drawings) spend $2 when the annuity is $20 to $30 million (even if you die before the drawing) and the cash val

Lucky For Life to Millionaire For Life - $5 Ticket
I asked Google When was the most recent lucky for life jackpot win? The answer I got, Most Recent Top-Tier Win: A ticket purchased via the Jackpocket app in Arkansas won the grand prize in late September 2023 I hope that someone wins the jackpot before the change to the new game and I hope after the changes, the jackpot gets won more frequent. If the answer is correct, that only means that not as many people play the game. Two years with no winner is not encouraging at all.

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Considering 189,977,424 $5.00 MM combos won't match one number or the bonus number, playing games like Lucky for Life, Cash Ball 225 and Texas Two Step gives more chances to actually win something. For the same $5 the 10,000 to 1 odds of winning $25,000 playing pick 4 is much better than the 893,761 to 1 MM odds of matching 4 + 1 to win at least $10,000 depending on what the multiplier is. Granted the prize could be $100,000 but that doesn't change the odds. It should be obvious why MUSL bel

MADDOGS MEGA MILLIONS Challenge 10/3
I had two challenge picks. The other was a 5+0 challenge win. Figures I'd choose the wrong one to post. The 5-pick (derived from 12-pick) was a 3+0 win. Did not play in real life. Heart ache at all the close challenge wins I've had this year. Had a powerball challenge pick last week that was very close to a 5+0 challenge win. Correct ranking picks, correct center on one ranking, the other ranking center was off.

LOTTERY POST 25TH ANNIVERSARY GIVEAWAY #4
If I could only play one game for life, I would play Pick 4 for the challenge. MzD is right, Pick 3 is much easier but I like the challenge of trying to forecast that one extra number for a big win. It takes time, but the work is worth the effort. For example, there's a guy in STL I know that tracked pick 4s religiously. He wagered $40 one evening and won $200,000! I have those aspirations after putting in the work checking systems and doing analysis..perhaps one day I can hit the 6 digit wi

Hardworking father wins $1 million steps away from workplace By Kate Northrop While a hardworking California father thought out how to help his family make a change for the better, little did he know that a daily routine would grant him a way to fast-track his plans with a $1 million lottery prize. A $1 million win in the lottery accelerated a California man's timeline for starting a new chapter in life with his family and securing a stable future. Michael Wright of Vacaville nev

Balancing Odds and Cost 😁
I think you hit the nail squarely on the head when you wrote The freedom that comes with a win..... To me personally, winning a life changing amount of money represents freedom that I currently don't have. Those that have wealth have certain options/flexibility living their daily lives that are unavailable to those without wealth. It isn't so much what would I buy with it? Rather it's more how can having wealth serve me and my family best? (That would include both present and future members

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
Any one dollar bet that can win one million dollars is a good bet. I'm not maligning anyone. You have an odd understanding of good bets and what you see as 'bad' bets. Lottery bets in essence are bad bets but just may let some lucky player make a major life changing score. Just for grins when New Hampshire started the first state lottery how much was a ticket and what was the first jackpot? Your first sentence above says it was not a good bet so how many bad bets have been made since that first
