Preliminary hearing rescheduled for Tommy Tipton in lottery rigging case
Any incidents involving Tipton rigging the draw were a problem with security, not with the RNG. Those problems can be easily fixed by good security, but I'm not holding my breath.

Lottery rigging scandal prompts security audit in South Dakota
Every time I read stories like this, involving the vulnerabilities inherent in RNG and the like, I start to shake my head. Some of the smart guys have already rigged the system, made their money, unrigged the system, moved on and are living the good life happily ever after. Only the overly selfish ones like TIPTON, that get caught. The lotteries are still non the wiser. BAN RNG FOR GOOD.

MUSL seeks to dismiss lawsuit over rigged jackpot
A group of state lotteries has asked a judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed by a jackpot winner who argues he was shortchanged by millions of dollars because the prior drawing was rigged by one of its employees.
In court documents filed this week, the Multi-State Lottery Association argued that Iowa resident Larry Dawson does not have legal standing to sue because his claimed injury is merely speculative and hypothetical, and therefore cannot be redressed.
Dawson, of Webster City, filed the l

Tennessee couple claims share of $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot
Really? The only lotto scandal of recent that I heard about was the game Hot Lotto with some dude named Tipton being the crook. Was there a Powerball scandal that I missed? If so please reply with some search terms (words) since you cannot post a link being that you're new to LP (Lottery Post). Thanks ahead of time.

Record $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot won by 3 tickets
A great example of a totally clueless reporter irresponsibly writing an article. I like how the facts about Eddie Tipton are just woven into things that have nothing to do with him. Really bad reporting. Hopefully whatever website published that does not have a big readership so they don't mislead too many people.

Anonymity for this huge jackpot. Let's settle this right here and now.
Because of the Tipton problem and the fact it's going to be a record jackpot, which ever state has a winning ticket will probably do everything they can for transparency. With just one winner, would you be satisfied if you read where an unknown trust claimed over $1 billion in cash or would you wonder if there really was a winner?

Iowa Lottery CEO Terry Rich answers your questions
Though I, and many other LP'ers, understand the savings involved with utilization of RNG's, there is also a wide understanding of programming. Parameters must be manually manipulated to simulate randomness. Thus the ability of the Tipton case to exist. With use of RNG's this will always be an ability and predominant concern; though unlikely, still a possibility. If the use of halogen lottery machines dramatically increases trust in the lottery amalgamation, albeit at a proportionately slight inc
