Indiana family claims $536 million Mega Millions lottery jackpot
Indiana isn't an anonymous state, it merely allows you to have what i call anonymity by trust which is different. The 7 anonymous states don't require you to put in the extra work of creating a trust while states like Indiana need you to do it in order to get anonymity.

Lottery veterans question Tennessee family's behavior before claiming Powerball winnings
I have a question. Why didn't they just form a trust to claim the prize like the previous powerball winner from Tennessee? I didn't think Tennessee lottery winners could remain anonymous, but last year, someone from Tennessee formed a trust to remain anonymous.

Lottery officials say identifying winners a must
Interestingly enough, a republican in the GA state legislature proposed a bill that would allow lotto winners in GA to remain anonymous BUT they would have to forK over an additional 25% of their win to the state for this privledge. I heard this on the radio and don't have a link. I'm all for anonymous claiming of jackpots but not state funded extortion like that.

Lottery officials say identifying winners a must
In the UK, winners have the right to remain anonymous, the vast majority choose to remain anonymous. People who choose publicly, often regret it later.

POWERBALL CREATES WORLD'S FIRST BILLION-DOLLAR JACKPOT
You are hopeful for a sole winner in a state that can stay anonymous; I can be a sole winner in a state that can stay anonymous! I graciously accept the privilege... and am humbled.

POWERBALL CREATES WORLD'S FIRST BILLION-DOLLAR JACKPOT
I've talked about this before, I don't think it's going to be possible. Huge public outcry and politicians may get involved. The winner(s) trying to stay anonymous after winning this jackpot could end up screwing things up for everyone trying to remain anonymous through law, trusts, and LLCs.

$900 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot to create unimaginable wealth
Winning this kind of lottery can actually ruin a person, their lives, their families lives, their friends lives and their neighbors lives. I hope that this person is smart enough to remain anonymous and sells the ticket to a conglomerate and just pay the winner a flat fee and they can stay anonymous forever. Otherwise they are ruined for life with that kind of money.

Powerball Jackpot
Honestly if it does go to billion what will the billboards read here in Philadelphia. That is no good. Whoever hits it better have a good lawyer, good financial planner, good acct, close acquaintances because whom ever that person is better stay anonymous. If I were to hit it I would actually be partners with a bowling alley, arcade place, be anonymous.

New to the lotto community
SC, OH, DE, MD, KS, ND, and WY. Those states will allow you to remain anonymous. TX, CO, MA, VT, CT will allow you to remain anonymous if claimed through a trust. There may be more. However, those are the ones I know of. I do a lot of research since I travel to these states a lot and have bought tickets in them.
