strange dream last night
Good morning all I'm in PA visiting my family for the weekend and had a very odd dream last night. I was filling out my Powerball slip (which had already been on my mind during the drive up) and a man walked in to wherever I happened to be, which is not clear to me. He told me no one ever wins those things so why bother trying. Ben Stein (of Win Ben Stein's Money) was there and said of course people win with the right numbers. He took a look at my slip and criticized it. He proceeded to pick

Lottery Post member subject of new motion picture
Here's what happened: Carl Liggett - January, 2004: I was driving along a snow-covered county road at about 45 miles an hour. About a quarter-mile ahead, I spotted a small red-and-white pickup sitting in a driveway on the left. I covered my brake in case he pulled out but, as I got closer to him, I thought he was going to wait. I was about 50 yards from him when he slowly meandered into my path, doing maybe 20 mph. There was nothing coming in the other direction, so I pulled out to pass

Local News Story Tonight
Tonight's headline: Decetives arrest man who stole lottery tickets Decetives? Maybe the Fort Myers News-Press should use a spellchecker! (yes, I make mistakes all the time, but I'm not a journalist writing headlines!) Anyway, it was on the 11:00 news too. A clerk stole 200 books of scratch-off tickets beginning in March 2006 (totaling $125,000) and cashed in about $12,000 in prizes. Maybe this should tell us something about the odds!

US House votes to kill Internet gambling
Detention . Interesting choice of words. Not arrest. Detention. They have a lot more elbow room these days because of the anti-terrorist provisions for dissolving rights insured by the US Constitution. Under current practice they can probably hold this guy until he dies of old age without charging him with anything. Without even telling him why he's being held. As they've already done with all those people down at Gitmo for three, four, five years. Evidently the US is operating
