CT Lottery security chief on paid leave following review of botched raffle draw
lot more complicated than just entering the wrong number and not catching the mistake. Have you ever WRITTEN policy or procedures? I have, for mixing multiple departments doing a similar process into one process. NOT FUN! Creating the procedures is very difficult, but the end result needs to be VERY simple to follow and easy to understand. Then there needs to be a audit process for quality and disciplinary action if not followed. So when a procedure is not followed and the result is a l

That's exactly , what I was thinking . Wealth Management , keep in mind , they could possibly do the same thing with your money . Have a yearly audit !!! and an Print out . Hire an CPA to keep tracked of your money not counting the Wealth Management Team.

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Hmm, about that Navarro Pharmacy location in the Miami Airport. Is that inside the Terminal meaning only ticketed passengers can get through? That would be insane if the winning ticket is lurking there. I feel like playing some scratchers today. Not sure which one to try. We went out for Thanksgiving last night. I bought a $5 Maximum Money and won $10 and got my mom/gram a $2 ticket each of Holiday Millions and Triple Play, so I netted $1 Another question about the 200MS or 50X. Are t

Lottery rigging scandal prompts security audit in South Dakota
The scandal unfolding in Iowa, where software allowed some results to be rigged in multi-state lotto drawings, has added to concerns among South Dakota Lottery officials, spurring them to proceed Thursday in requesting proposals for a security review of South Dakota Lottery facilities. The review also would cover the statewide video-lottery system and the statewide lotto jackpot system. Each separately connects with hundreds of private businesses. The scratch-ticket system also would be

I still haven't heard from the postmaster.

Minnesota Lottery director resigns after timeshare inquiry
Minnesota State Lottery director Ed Van Petten abruptly resigned Friday, coming after an inquiry found that taxpayers have reimbursed the director for staying in his own timeshare unit when traveling. This morning, I met with Minnesota Lottery Director Ed Van Petten, said Gov. Mark Dayton's chief of staff Jaime Tincher. During that meeting, Mr. Van Petten offered his resignation. I accepted his resignation. We will immediately begin a search for his replacement. Van Petten had been reimb

Audit: Stores buying Michigan lottery tickets from players
I just re-read my response to the highlighted portion and realized it probably wasn't clear: They likely determine it by as I said, a record comparison. If Bob reported income of $100,000 but the lottery says he won $200,000, he obviously didn't report $100,000 in winnings. At the very least he should have reported $200,000 in income, showed an offset of $100,000 for AGI of $100,000 (minus std. deductions of course but you get the idea). The methodology isn't in the report, just the findings.

"Peeking" is scanning unsold cards to determine winners
Strange that 'peeking' is even possible especially in a lottery like Massachusetts. In most states you cannot simply scan the ticket to determine its status of a winner...you have to physically scratch off at least some portion of the ticket. I was under the impression this was universal nowadays. Edit: From the audit report, Currently, the barcode used to cash MSLC instant tickets is located on the back of each ticket. Are you kidding me? Wow, can imagine the temptation for a retailer

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Welcome to this thread DGinElMonte, it is cool to see a retailer representation here. Not sure what you are allowed to divulge as an agreement to the CALottery. The basis for the $5million jackpot was from hardcore players on the CALottery facebook page. I still see them in stores even after a few months. If you can order more of those tickets, that is all I need to hear to believe the game is still good (horrible game from my standpoint as a player). As far as the top ticket situation goes,
