You get caught and the store loses it's contract with the lottery to sell tickets
and three years probation, wow! That one last guy with the traveling ticket I think his brother
owned the store because the officer said tell your brother he lost his contract to sell how awful.
It's just not worth it!! Stores who lost their contract no doubt lost a lot of business.
Chris Haneson's advice was nothing we have not heard here on the boards before:

N.C. lottery commission has full plate, rapid timeline ahead
Denny Bottorff said he'll never forget Jan. 20, 2004 - the day the Tennessee Lottery sold its first scratch-off tickets. It was like when your first child was born, Bottorff said. You get the same elation and satisfaction. The first and only chairman of the quasi-governmental corporation that runs the Tennessee Lottery, said North Carolina's new lottery board also will feel the same labor pains his panel felt as new games are delivered to players in North Carolina as soon as possible.Gov. Massachusetts Judge Denies Demand for Lump-Sum Lottery Prize Payment
From the original thread:Oh, for cryin' out loud, people; give me a break!Even the hard and fast laws of nature occasionally treat us to the odd exception, and what's good enough for nature should be good enough for an anal-retentive state lottery director. Where do they find these people??? I suspect that Mr. Sullivan has some difficulty removing his pants without the aid of a good, stout stick.Common sense tells me that Ms. Outing will ultimately prevail, and I would not rule out possible puni

What You Have To Look Forward To...
It amazes me how often people can have something shoved in thier faces and still not be able to see it.Below are some press releases from the Hoosier Lottery website. I'm sure that many of you will be able to convince yourselves that they're just kidding because, after all, they have too much to lose...For those of you who want the truth, read on. The remainder of you may now bury your heads in the sand, lest this information disturb the natural order in Xanadu...

Minnesota lottery chief's suicide note: 'Pity me, blame no one else'
Before committing suicide in January, Minnesota State Lottery Director George Andersen left handwritten notes encouraging his family to not look back. He said he thought lottery operations were proper and am told they are not. Pity me, blame no one else. He added in another note: I must carry the burden and it is too much. . . . Andersen, 53, had run the lottery since it started in 1990 and had done so with little legislative oversight. The state Legislative Auditor reported recently that t

Computerized lotto must wait awhile
Scratch-off would be only game for monthsTennesseans would be left to play a scratch-off lottery game for months before they get a chance to play computerized games such as lotto, under plans discussed by the Tennessee Education Lottery Corp. board yesterday. And your favorite spot to buy those lotto tickets might not get to sell them if the store doesn't sell enough scratch-offs while the computerized ticket-sales system is being installed statewide. The board discussed options but took no vote.

Lottery giant IGT is sole bidder to run sports betting in R.I.
IGT, the company that runs Rhode Island's electronic lottery systems, is the sole bidder for a contract to run the state's proposed foray into sports betting.
The Lottery issued a request for proposals on the sports betting contract last month and although 18 firms participated in a pre-bid conference on the contract, the Providence-based company formerly known as GTECH was the only one to submit a bid by last Friday's deadline, the R.I. Lottery announced Monday.

Pa. Gov. may challenge lottery privatization rejection
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett is expected to say as soon as Friday whether he will challenge Attorney General Kathleen Kane's rejection of his plan to privatize the state lottery.
If he does, Corbett likely will file his challenge directly with the state Supreme Court, said Duquesne University law professor Bruce Ledewitz. Ledewitz said the case raises questions that Pennsylvania courts have never addressed before.
There's no smoking gun, Ledewitz said. The attorney general's opinion in t

Oregon Lottery chief accused of harassment, retaliation
Oregon state officials are looking into claims that the director of the Oregon Lottery sexually harassed a female manager, then retaliated against her when she spurned his advances.
According to allegations outlined in a letter by the woman's attorney, Lottery Director Larry Niswender made unwanted advances toward the manager, then put her on administrative leave after she and another manager at the Lottery became romantically involved.
