Mega Millions lottery jackpot to be a quarter-billion for Friday
Millions and millions of tickets sold, but no one managed to pick the right combination of numbers in the multi-state Mega Millions lottery game. The $200 million dollars up for grabs in Tuesday night's game went without a top winner, hiking the jackpot to $250 million for Friday. But 13 people in eight states came awfully close, matching five of the six winning numbers. Each of those tickets is worth $250,000.The second-place tickets were sold in California (2), Georgia (2), Maryland, Michigan,

Texas Lottery May Eliminate Lotto Bonus Number
'5 + Bonus' format was a flop with playersLotto Texas players might be saying bye-bye to the bonus ball. One of the proposals being floated by the Texas Lottery Commission is to eliminate the new five numbers and bonus ball matrix and return to a 'pick six of fifty' (6/50) format for the Lotto game, which is the flagship of the Texas Lottery. I don't think that has been discussed specifically, but I think we're discussing all formats for the matrix, to determine what would be the best, to make it

Streak of jackpot winners is bad luck for Powerball lottery sales
Statistically, there are more Pick 3 players than multi-state lotto players. Why? Because they feel they have a rat's chance of winning and they can get their minds around the game. Personally, I buy one quick-pick on Mega Millions in hopes that fate will touch me. I have no system for a game with that kind of odds and anyone who does . . .God bless them.We have to remember that the lotto is a money raiser and the ones who operate it have no interest in our success or failure. Powerball Drawing for 09-11-04
Hello Everyone,I'm new to the forum but not new to Powerball. I am curious as to what the biggest amount of money you invest in playing Powerball (My lowest in $5.00 and my max is $20.00) and does the group feel that in order to cover the bases or possibilities, you must play more lines?I have also noticed that a few members use commercial programs or homemade wheels (I use UltraLott Multi-State Powerball and Mega-Millions Version 9.0 and it has paid for itself in the slightly over one year that

Should I combine Illinois and Iowa?
Iowa and Illinois each have their own Pick 3 games, but they use one set of draw results for both games.Right now, you can post Pick 3 predictions for Iowa, and you can create different Pick 3 predictions for Illinois. If I were to combine both games into one multi-state game in the system, you would post one set of predictions that would cover both states. If you vote:Yes - I will create a new multi-state Illinois/Iowa Pick 3 game, and eliminate the two independent games that are currently ther

Are Lotteries Rigged
Jim695 I'm no genius, but I know that if something is computerized, it uses a PROM chip or an EPROM chip, which means that it can be programmed. Consider this: If the Hoosier Lottery has their little computerized electronic random number generator tied into their central computer, which tracks players' selections and wager amounts, they can easily minimize payouts on their daily games and, at the same time, build their Lotto jackpot at will (bigger jackpots = more ticket sales), and who w

more info on Lotto South
IMHO there are a few problems with the Lotto South:1. The name: why call it Lotto South? What if a Northern or Western state wants to join? Will people in those states want to play Lotto SOUTH?2. 6/49: if LS expands to too many states, with the increased player base, people will win the jackpot before it gets a chance to grow very large. They'll have to change the number pool or add a money ball or something. I thought the point of the thing was to replace the states' lotto games, not be another
