I think that powerball has crossed the line what do you think?
I have no issue with larger JP's and what people do with their winnings is of no concern to me. I just have a issue with PB making the odds worse to win and at the same not increasing odds of winning better smaller prizes. I think PB is throwing themselves under the bus because people have to have some glimmer of hope or motivation that when they spent $2 bucks they at least stand a reasonable chance of winning something decent beyond a few bucks. I just think it's a bad call for PB to not bette

$42 million NY Lottery winner wants to remain blue-collar worker for life
It's the odds that matter, not how many lines you get to play. The odds for 6/59 are roughly 1 in 45 million, so getting two lines gives you odds of 1 in 22.5 million for that $1 bet. Much better odds than MM or PB, but the jackpot is usually fairly modest. The odds for 2nd place are 1 in 3.75 million, which is only slightly better than PB before the recent change, but the prize starts at only 20 to 25k. It's not unusual for it to build to 200 or even 300k, but that's still well shy of the point

Why is the Ohio Classic Lotto so difficult to win?
Basic math? what are you an idiot? MM has 258 million to 1 odds and PB has 175 million to 1 while OCL has less than 14 million to 1 odds.
The current cash value of OCL is almost 2.5 times the jackpot odds. PB has only had 2 instances in it's history in which the cash value was twice the odds while MM has only had one cash value jackpot which doubled the odds.

You Will Never Win A Lottery Jackpot In Your Lifetime.
The odds of winning a lottery jackpot is the matrix equation of every lottery game. Chances and Odds are two different things in lottery games.
For example: Odds of winning the Mega Millions are 1 in 176 Million. Odds of winning the Powerball are 1 in 259 Million. You can only change the odds of winning by changing the games matrices.

Everyone should buy only one ticket for any game
I have been informally watching my spending and winnings and have decided to cut back to one PB with Powerplay, one MM with Megaplier, one Mega-Money (FL) ticket per draw and will continue to play FL Fantasy 5 with multiple tickets every day as the odds are best for this game (1:376,992) and buying more tickets does give you more chances to win. With the lower odds games I think this strategy makes sense. Looking at MM and PB and buying multiple tickets not so much because odds are astronomical.

Odds of winning.
Sometimes I would bet your life on it with success that a certain number will come out for a certain drawing against all odds. Of course other people will have a zero success with this kind of betting.
Odds are calculated. What is improving odds? Odds for exactly what? Improving your game might mean buying just one ticket, the winning one and not to play the loosing ones. Odds and expectancy, you mix it up!

Do some number combinations have better odds?
All this talk about better odds is hogwash because he can't figure out what his odds are until AFTER the drawing.
It's really a simple concept, any group of 28 numbers has a 1 in 39 chance of having a five number match BEFORE the drawing. In every drawing over 19,000 groups of 28 numbers will have five number matches in 5 consecutive drawings. Nobody is saying a specific group of 28 numbers has better odds but it's a mathematical fact thousands do have better odds.

Florida Lottery's repeat winners don't always come out ahead
Well here you talk about your odds of winning being 1 in 1000 but you see thats is not the odds i play with we both play on different odd calculation system. you see in my world have develop my odds to be about 1 in 100 let me explain.ok lets say you want to play the number 123 and your odds of winning is 1 in 1000.this is how l play it. l replace the 1 with the letter x to create x23 so i bet 023 123 223 323 423 523 623 723 823 923 cost my $5 at fifty cents straight but my odds of winning with

$330 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot nears record high
You are right, whenever someone buys $5 worth of mega millions this does not change the equation to win 1 in 175,711,536. I feel that we are confusing odds and chances. You can increase your chances to win like TODD stated, but you are right COIN TOSS the odds to win never change no matter how many lines we purchase. Each line you play whether 1 or 100 tickets faces the odds of 1 in 175,711,536 to win.Athough the lottery makes you believe otherwise by dividing it 175,711,536/2=87,855,768 . The f
