Systems, tracking numbers, and......
>Like I'd ever have a chance now of convincing her it's not just luck. We all know how scientific the lottery is, I mean that is just a given. :) But horoscopes on the other hand are inaccurate - and it is obvious from your story that the horoscope people simply made a mistake. First they applied all the same mathematical operations that are used here to obtain that winning lottery number - then some idiot went and printed it on the wrong day! :) That should convince her!

NJ lawmakers cool to idea of selling lottery
Part 3 of a 3-part look at the New Jersey Lottery In a state bleeding red ink and desperately needing a cash infusion to pay down growing debts, it sometimes seems like almost anything could come up for sale. In the name of quick cash, lawmakers have floated ideas for selling state buildings and iconic roads. In a smaller gesture aimed at squeezing out some dollars to balance the books, Gov. Jon S. Corzine recently stood in a field of used state cars to promote their sale. So what about

Florida lottery winners indicted on tax charge
Gosh, say no; it won't kill them. In 2000, I prayed to win the lottery so I could take my brother to Israel for an experimental operation in order to save his life. I spent my money on my mother's operations before he got sick so I had almost nothing left. I still play the lottery but I have to say I don't have sympathy for these people who blow it. They will just have to live like the rest of the world. They were given a gift and did as they pleased. I hope others will learn from this
