Contacting Professionals After You Hit A Multi-Million Dollar Prize!

I am all for remaining anonymous, but if you win a big jackpot I think you are better off just giving the cursory interview to the media and being done with it.....
If someone hits $250 million (or even a lot less) I'm not so sure they'd give an interview and just be done with it. Between family they never knew they had, neghbors, co-workers, former co-workers, and whole bunches of people with great investment ideas or those wanting to start businesses on someone else's $

Another great quote
Saw this one this morning....made me think of some threads about winning jackpots, reamining anonymous, etc...
The rich never have to seek out their relatives.

and another:
Money can't buy you friends; but you do get a better class of enemies

Florida Lotto jackpot rolls over to $9 million
Agree with Floridian. Before I write anything else, I want to say that Todd has created a wonderful web site, one of the best I've seen. I would love to say Hello to all my friends on Lottery Post, but...
one of the reasons I wouldn't want to write I won $10 million dollars on the board is for 10 reasons, the first 9 being This is the internet!!! Nothing about the internet is private, including your emails.
The other is that, unless I signed on under a different user name, I wouldn'

Okla. lawmaker aims to stop lottery winners from staying anonymous
I'm guessing that the statement is the result of a stupid politician meaning that it would be okay for a trust to claim a prize if the trust was formed before the ticket was purchased. The article suggests that his issue is with people forming a trust specifically to claim a prize they have already won. Since trusts and corporations are already legal entities they have the right to buy and own lottery tickets, as well as other property. Of course that begs the question of what his legislation

A Lottery Post Seminar Weekend?
A group of people arrived at the hotel tonight, all equipped with pencils, notepads upon notepads, calculators, and a couple of gizmos that looked like something out of Star Trek. Most of them also had those lottery wallets that the state loteries give out to keep your playslips and tickets in.
When asked about thisthey, to a person, denied having anything to do whatsoever with any lottery seminar.
Many were sporting WPP hats and tee-shirts and an anonymous tipster said he hear

Stories like the one about Ms Ryan make me wonder if we wouldn't be better off finding a way to hit Pick 3, Pick 4, and maybe Cash 5 consistently enough to be comgfortable instead of hitting a huge jackpot.
I'm sure once word got out she was giving to charity that a ot of these people approaching here perceived her to be an easy touch.
I'd like to see someobody push for a law that winners have to remain anonymous.
Now there's a thought!

There's a thread here on LP about a winner in Oklahoma remaining anonymous.
In the book Infinite Financial Freedom, What To Do Before and after You Hit the Lottery, it's suggested that jackpot winners buy Kidnap Ransom insurance.

If you're still reading this thread...on the program, you mentioned that you believe in karma. Think about that with the comments here about court....and, all things considered, think about what the clerk

Mega Millions hit again!
Hmmmm.....this is getting annoying.....maybe I should turn my attention to forcing regulars winners in Powerball....maybe I might have some better fortune in having the numbers fall in my pool of numbers...instead of someone else. Upped my wager last night from $20 to $55....I did ok.....one 4 of 5 and six 3 of 5...made a profit, but not the kind of profit I want to see...if you get my drift. The problem with playing Powerball is I know too many people in DC....no way to be anonymous there....th

Need more profit than fun
If you need more profit than fun may I suggest to sites to help you practice your ESP and Clairvoyance
moebius.psy.ed.ac.uk/~paul/zener.html and gluoincs.com (pick paranormal link)
Maybe if you practice you can list only two winning numbers instead of 20 and definitely win more and miss less- If not see Gambler's Anonymous
that is gluoincs(dot)com and moebius(dot)ed(dot)ac(dot)uk/~paul/zener(dot)html
Where second site pays off

"Winning Plays A Game With Your Head"
My area isn't really overpriced, but housing prices have gone up and available housing has shrunk since Hurricane Katrina brought many New Orleans residents who lost their homes into the area. My main reason for moving away is to get away from people who know me, so they won't ask for money. To be honest, I don't know if I'll give anyone money but one thing for certain is if any individual or organization asks me for money, they can forget about getting any, EVER.
I've often talked about my
