Hey Calabs, IDK if I'm reading it wrong or if you made an error, but the Tier 2 256 combo.... 526 hasn't showed this year? And I know 265 has, because I hit it, followed by 562, which repeated the next week and now 625 showed. Wouldn't that make it Tier 3 before this morning? And why is 526 part of it? Again I think I may just be reading it wrong, but I thought tiers were how many times they've hit this year, and which orders they were in. BTW guys I'm still not p

Mathematics and the Lottery
Hi, Everyone is welcome to jump in. *S* I've createdd a system that has approximately 20 filters with little to no error as the foundation. As a secondary filter I've included the 80/20 top hitting numbers. After running all the combinations I get a summary report that shows what numbers have peak values by position. I then very the numbers with the best counts against valid combinations (combinations that don't exceed the min/max conditions of my filters). Sorry, it wasn't an easy answe

Does Mathematical Innumeracy foster superstitions and support the belief in them?
Jimmy: Up until a few minutes ago I was working on a reply to one of RL's posts wherein I made a case that he has recently acquired a ghost writer. Get a grip; this is a message board forum. Jimmy: When I finally hit the submit button, I got an error message and soon discovered that RL's post had disappeared! Fortunately, I saved a copy of his post, which I had spell checked Maybe RL deleted it, a Moderator did, you imagine it existed, or you're pulling a scam. It really doesn't matte

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
That's why this is the math forum. That's why I wrongly assume every time I give mathematical evidence why a certain type of system play has a mathematical edge over a like number of QPs, I'll get a mathematical reason that shows my error or proves me wrong. Demands of proof a mathematically designed wheel available to anyone works as intended or let's have a contest against it versus imaginary play money QPs has no business in a Mathematics forum. I've never understood the big deal abou

Amnightus asks, How many Mathematicians Play the Lottery
amnightus You first, I know that doctors, lawyers, teachers, engineers, have all won jackpots in the past so I would say that within the population of members here at LP that the results would be very much the same as they would be within the general population. Any statistician worthy of their trade should be able to calculate this without much error. RL

Woman sues TV station over lottery numbers error
True that!!!! ALso, the regulations require that the ticket holder get the ticket validated . That is the Key to this lawsuit. The state will counter and remind her and the judge of this. Her case will be dismissed with NO compensation. The newstation will receive a harsh reminder that broadcasting does require accuracy. They really should have done a retraction and a public announcement of the error to clarify things. Our station that airs it had that same glitch, within ten minutes th

THanks. But I am still confused as to why results on the nylottery.org homepage is displaying 152 as the winning Midday pick 3 Number For February 18th 2011 when 781 is the actual number. I am thinking anyone who played 781 Box and used nylottery.org to check the results will throw away their winning ticket(s) because they will think 152 is the Midday number it's not. Maybe it's a error and 152 will be the winning number for tonight?? If so that would be incredible but that would also
