$284 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot rolls again
Last night the Mega Millions jackpot was $122 million. When I saw it was no winners I assume it would rolled to at least $150 million. I was shocked it rolled to $139 million. Even at a dollar the odds are still keeping players from spending money. Going to interesting to see what has with Powerball tonight if there is no winners. Maybe players are moving back to smaller state jackpots.

$284 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot rolls again
$2 ticket price makes up for Powerball LOW PLAYERSHIP. Forget about the weather, lottery players are not spending BIG MONEY on these elusive BIG JACKPOTS.

How Many Folks Gave Up On Powerball When It Went To $2?
Lottery players do not have time to breathe with these jackpot games. How can you play the lottery 4 times a week and only lose. Lottery players are tired of losing money. It is the reason why big jackpots are not exciting people anymore. Reality has set in. We can't win any significant prizes playing these jackpot games.

How Many Folks Gave Up On Powerball When It Went To $2?
I think that they mentioned it in a lottery post article. Jackpot games do not have more room for matrix changes. Higher ticket prices would support big jackpots and generate more revenues without high playership.

Do you think there are Professional Gamblers that go from state to state for scratch offs?
I started thinking that when new games come out maybe there is professional gamblers or even teams that travel to those states trying to get one of the jackpots.

How Many Folks Gave Up On Mega Millions Now That The Odds Are In The Stratosphere?
I've cut back on both games, mainly to save money. I only play them on my own when the jackpots get above $100 million. I'm also running a pool at work in which we play, Megamillions, Powerball, and Lotto, so I still get to play every drawing, just if we win it will be shared with others.

How Much Money Do You Spend Playing the Lottery in a Week?
Your analysis would only be correct if every jackpot winner received the full amount, $12.5M or $25M in your example. But they don't. You must notice that the higher the jackpots get, the more ticket sales increase, and more winners tend to share the pot.

Mega Millions $1,000,000.00 Winners Without Megaplier
I agree. Mega Millions is not generating too many winners. Mega Millions is a very boring lottery game. It takes forever for Mega Millions jackpots to reach $100 Million annuity.

Should lotteries have a cooling-off period before paying out jackpots?
When people win a large jackpot, they may be on a high and not make rational decisions. A cooling-off period would give people a breathing space before they make any major decisions. If winners have relatives and friends seeking help with something, a cooling-off period would give the winners more time to decide if it is the right thing to do. Or will this help be a never-ending story. Maybe a 30 day cooling-off period for prizes payouts and a longer period for larger prizes.

never play quick picks
I wonder the same thing. I'm sure he won all those jackpots and probably won more than he spent, but I still wonder how much he had to spend.
