How much money
So far this year I am in the hole for $79 even though I have purchased ~$1800 worth of tickets. A 5 of 6 hit in Ohio lottery for $1500 helped keep my cost down. Since any winning over $500 is recorded by the State for tax purpose, I keep a record of my loses and I try to keep them under $500 for the year. I consider that money well spent for entertainment, which is a lot less than a Vegas vaction or what some of my friends spend for smokes. RJOh

Testing a Lottery program
Delete the last 6 months of your data from your database. Let it make a prediction then add the correct number to the database. Record how much you would have won and how much you would have spent. I bet you would have lost far more than you would have won.

Lottery Software
Take a coin and flip it 9 times and record the result. Using the data from the previous 9 flips try to predict if it will be heads or tails on the 10th flip. Do this 100 or 1000 times. In the end you will find that there is still only a fifty-fifty chance you will be able to predict the correct result. Previous results do not affect future results.

PB $25m rollover limit may be wrong
PB record. And don't be fooled by all that talk about getting rid of an invasion . They absolutely love that stuff -- there's no better PR than putting all of it on the news. One big jackpot a year is how Powerball makes most of their money. -Todd

PB $25m rollover limit may be wrong
The unusual circumstance: the increase in jackpot size is capped at $25 million when the new jackpot will set a record. IMHO, it's a layer of complication that will add to player confusion without adding any perceived value.-Todd

Big game winning tickets
If you check any of the websites of the states selling the BigGame MagaMillions tickets or the MagaMillions website itself, it is posted that winning tickets can only be redeemed in the states where purchased. Each states only keep records of tickets sold in their state, so they had no record of winning tickets sold in other states.RJOh

NJ Pick-6 Lotto $42.5 million Thursday!!
Who needs Mega-Millions...for now. Are you going to come to Jersey Cash Only? I think if no one wins Thursday, then the jackpot will break the record from last year.

TODD-Re: MEGA
You got that right Todd! NJ Pick-6 right now at $38 million, and its inching closer to the record. I think it was around $44 million. 5 of 6 gets you like $2,500+, but you only chose from 49 #'s. While Big Game you choose from 52 #'s.
