Dealing with your family when you won.
hmm, first thing is to get a handle on how much you really will recieve. I made up an excel sheet that takes as input the cash value, deducts the 27% the MUSL withholds and also the other 8% you will owe at the top of the tax bracket... now I have a real number to work with... if I won last night, I would have planned on managing 65 million (not the posted 100 millon).second, planning the anonymous trust to claim it quietly. Even the trust lawyer would not know at this point since I'd start the

trashed tickets
First, I always play my own numbers for all types of lottery. For a lotto game with a big jackpot, I would find out the numbers from a very reliable source which in most states would mean being able to view the drawing on TV (but not in DE, no more televised drawings of any type, so I go to a retailer and ask for a report ticket for the particular lotto game and check my tickets). I usually know pretty quick when I see the numbers for a jackpot game, if I have winners, as I wheel in small numbe

possible to form a lottery club in mass?
Quote: Originally posted by Bingo Long on March 16, 2005I've done a little with lottery pools in MA. In short, it's possible, but a real pain.First off, you know how on the back of the ticket it's got all that legal mumbo jumbo about the official rules and administrative bulletins, etc? Well one of the rules is that you agree to have your photo taken for lottery promotional stuff. So you can't legally go the anonymous trust fund route.Second, only one person can claim the prize if you win. This

Michigan law allows lottery winners to remain anonymous, and the man who cashed in a winning WinFall ticket this week took full advantage of it.The man turned in the winning ticket from the April 10, 2004 drawing, which offered a $3.8 million jackpot. He opted to take a lump-sum payment good for $1.4 million after taxes. The man would not let lottery officials identify him publicly or provide his age, hometown or place of employment, said Andi Brancato, a lottery commission spokeswoman. It also helps if your name is Bob.But little else is known about one of Australia's luckiest and most secretive groups: the lottery millionaires. There are now about three instant millionaires made each week - but it is not known if their richness brings happiness, charity or the reappearance of long-lost friends. There have
