I believe that is true RJOH...I think the last two big powerball winners said they bought about $20 worth of tickets...of course that is only 10 lines for powerball...but I think with the big jackpots that's a good place to start

I play every jackpot game, Tx 2 Step, Lotto, PB, and MM. I did skip MM a couple weeks ago. But other than that I always have at least on tic. I can understand only playing when jackpots are high, but the problem with that is you don't get to choose if or when you might win. So even if Tx 2 Step is only $200,000, I play it, because if I win, that's get out of debt money. That alone is worth a buck.

Last year I played just about every day. This year I've scaled way back and only play once a week, depending on the games. When jackpots reset sometimes I'll go a month without playing.

This is what kills me... they change the matrix, and they change the payout... if they had left the matrix alone and just changed the payout it would give them larger jackpots.. it would not have let them payout a million for five of five, but, I would have been happy with a 250k prize... truth be told I miss the old payout scale, you got more cash, almost 20% more...

MUSL jackpot estimation sheet issued yesterday. I get all my MM/PB projections from official sheets. That is their forecast for jackpot-contributing sales. Lately they have been over-estimating sales though, a couple of jackpots ago they didn't even have enough money to fund the advertised jackpot.

According to the Poisson cumulative probability distribution, if you include the non-winning draws before the matrix change there is about 84% chance of a winner in this draw or any of the previous ones. Really not that significant. Sales have not really increased after the change, and with odds of more than double the prior matrix likewise it will take longer before there is a winner. Honestly, I don't understand the fanfare with the previous $205 million and current $230 million jackpots. L
