Lawsuit challenges N.C. Lottery
We are aware of that, and it's going to get a lot worse.
KyMystikal: the difference between a donation and a tax is a donation is not automatically tacked onto your purchase, and a tax is.
Go to an event where you have to 'donate' to get in ? If you don't want to donate, they have to let you in, if they force you to donate, then, I guess you call the lawyers or the police, because then it's not a 'donation', it's a 'fee'. The difference being if it's a 'fee', then THEY have to col

The Uncertainty principle states that you can never really understand the true nature of an event, because the very act of studying the event can change the outcome.
~Werner Heisenberg, famous for the Uncertainty principle in Quantum Mechanics.

Probabilty of Someone Winning a PB & MM Jackpot in the same Week!
John has it exactly right, assuming one ticket for each drawing. The fact that a bunch of posters here don't understand the math doesn't change the facts. Having two tickets makes you twice as likely to win, whether it's two tickets for one drawing or one ticket for each of two drawings. The chances of two events happening is the probability of one event time the probabilty of the second event, so the chances of winning PB and MM when you buy one ticket for each of two drawings ineach game is

CA automata applied to lottery
The only use-able practical connection between so-called Random-Events that I can see, is Statistics, that is the one thing that Ties or Glues them together. that is other than an event that it is the result or outcome of the event that precedes it.
Particular statistics of one event precede and seem to announce particular statistics of another event and other than that they are completely unrelated (To each other), it is a weird happening, it might happen only for a short or long tim

Dream help.
My dreams scare me because they're too vivid. My dreams warn of event or I see images of deceased friends and family directing me. Whispering voices alerting of upcoming events or warning to avoid combinations of events (person saying a key word that will lead to a turnout of events). Like on a movie touches and smells can trigger it. Depending on the clarity of the dream the more likely the event will occur. When under stress the more frequent the dreams but not necessarily a requirement.

What if I told you that I could with 95% accuracy predict
If I understand you correctly I'd think you were a bit pessimistic.
In any single drawing there's a 10% chance the first digit you predict will be drawn as the first number. There's also a 10% chance it will be drawn as the second number and a 10% chance it will be drawn as the third number. That means there's a 30% chance that it will be 1 of the 3 digits. If it is 1 of the 3 digits there's a 20% chance your second digit will be 1 of the remaining 2 digits. That means the chance that both of

In the event you hit the jackpot ...
My attorney is currently in the process of working up a proposal for an estate plan for me, including a living trust. I've given him information of what I'd want to happen in the event of my death with my limited estate. But in the event I won the jackpot, those proportions of what should go to whom would not be what I'd want at all! If it were a large jackpot, I'd want at least 90% of it to go to charity, not to my stepchildren! One of them can't even handle her own wages, let alone million

Is ist legal to play powerball online??
Quote: Originally posted by cps10 on February 16, 2006 Just read the rules and be wary of them so that you don't get hosed in the event of a jackpot win. I know that betslips allows you to play, but they own 1% of the ticket, which isn't all that bad, if you ask me.
I'm not going to go into a battle of whit's with you over this but when you wrote:

Draw history, does it matter?
True that 1,2,3,4,5,6 has just as much of an equal chance to be drawn. But as quoted from an article I found on the net: There is a big difference between an event being possible inevery drawing and how often an event is likely to occur. It's just common sense, the more there are of a thing in a potthe more likely you will pull one out in a draw. Some will say there is exactly one type of each combination, only we're not talking about combinations right now, we'retalking about having the numbers th
