Would you quit your job if you won the lottery?
I would give two weeks notice and it would be the happiest two weeks of my life. I don't think I'd be able to hide my joy.
Not because I don't like my job because I do (I teach tennis) but to leave and have the money to do whatever I want (play golf and travel) would be an overwhelmingly joyful feeling.
I'd look something like this for those two weeks:

Orlando man claims $46 million Florida Lotto jackpot
I just visited South Florida, and I know I was surrounded by many millionaires and multi-millionaires. How else could the same people play golf several times per week while driving nice luxury cars? But did that tempt me to go bother them? Not in the least. There is a simple remedy for publicity of this nature...just travel frequently. Only someone who stays put in one place so that all the vultures can circle and land makes this a possiblity. But I have never seen vultures keep up nor stay inte

So what kinda house would you buy??
Turn-key sounds like the best because dealing with renovations and builders can be a nightmare. Been there, done that, no more thank you!
I'd not want anything too grand or posh though because that's not the way I am.
Single-storey, overlooking some sort of natural or green space (i.e., golf course, wilderness, ocean, lake, etc.). I love wood so the house would have lots of that - solid wood floors doors, lots of wood mouldings and wooden framed windows - all clear stained, not painted. T

$~Dream~$
I had the craziest dream that i was Beyonce and Jay-z personal assistant when It came to Blue Ivy. She had a video shoot outside and I had to care for the baby.
Also in my dream I was a basketball coach for the youth. The number 8 stood out in my dream bold as day.

Wondering if I should go back to buying scratchers?
Thanks for the post, shyguitar. I feel it's worth it to play both....regular lotto tickets and scratcher tickets. As far as worth it to gain more $$ . . . I have my doubts. I play for fun only. No matter how you decide to play, the odds against winning are enormous to say the least. However, it's also true that somebody will win if they keep buying tickets. Perhaps that somebody will be the olplugger, or shyguitar.
Lottery for me is purely a hobby with the potential of some return. Others may

First major purchase after winning it all?
A small ranch/ranchette w/ live water and plenty of trees, close enough to a decent sized town to go in for groceries and dining, but far enough away from neighbors to be private. I'd prefer it to be at the end of a dead-end road and if if I saw someone driving towards my property, I'd know they were coming out to see me, were lost or they didn't have any business being out there. I also want the mineral rights or most of them or the executive rights to allow drilling (or not) I'm not opposed to
