Define A System That Works...
A working system gives you a statistical advantage over house odds.
The house always has the advantage; it's how gambling works. But there are a few pick-3 bets where the payoff odds are pretty close to the odds against. If you played 4 digits each in any two digit positions and played all in the third, the odds against winning is 2.25 to 1 and the payoff is 2.125 to 1. Since the odds are based on any 4 random digits in any two positions, it's possible using some type of system to show a pr

Just Be A Player To Win Mega Millions And Powerball
I think you have your math wrong. If RJOh bought 99% of all possible combinations, I would bet on RJOh every single time. You need to keep in mind the odds that are advertised are based on a single line of play, but that doesn't mean everyone's odds are the same. The odds do change the more tickets you buy. If you go to the store and buy a $1 QP for Powerball, your odds will be 1 in 195,249,054. If I go to the store and buy a $2 QP, MY odds are 1 in 97,624,527.

Traveling to Play Lottery
The Illinois lottery is pulling the cut the odds in half baloney with the posted odds for the Lotto.
The odds per line of winning a 6/52 jackpot are 1:20,358,520 but if you get two lines for a dollar then the odds per dollar spent are 1:10,179,260. Lotteries usually advertise their odds of winning per dollar spent if a dollar buys more than one line.

Odds to payout ratio
Do people play the odds or the odds to payout ratio?
In GA, the odds to payout ratio is about 2 to 1 for Cash 3 and 4.
1000: 1 odds pays $500. Three way is a third of that and 6 way is 1/6th of that.
The same with Cash 4. 10,000:1 odds pays $5000.
Fantasy 5 has 575,757:1 but starts at 50,000.
The odds are 57 times the cash 4 with the payout being 5 times.
But as it rolls over, the odds catch up.
Currently it is estimated at $594,000 so the odds to payout are less t

Quick Pick or Not
As far as anyone really knows, picking your own numbers or buying the same amount of quick picks doesn't effect your odds of winning. Granted if you were buying a large number of tickets, you might improve your odds of a win by either wheeling the numbers to get a guaranteed hit or avoiding duplicates of smaller combinations that might win a prize, just like buying more tickets improve your odds of winning, have more combinations of threes and fours in your mix will probably improve your odds of

I love it when PB jackpots get hit frequently
I just love when PB jackpots get hit frequently at relatively low amounts. Someone in CT won tonight's mere $25 million jackpot. It only goes to show that despite PB's greedy efforts to keep raising the jackpot odds to EVEN more impossibly astronomical odds (1/195 million now), the jackpot still won't reach PB's ideal level of $100+ million very often at all. Their highest jackpot ever still is $365 million from more than three years ago with lower jackpot odds than current levels, when players

PA Super 7 Jackpot
when are people going to realize that the odds of the game are the odds of the game.the odds measure the true difficulty no matter how you make the game......the win with 7 out of 11 part makes it seem that its easier since they are giving you 4 more numbers than the 7 required to win...but when you look at the ..out of 77 part...and you look at the odds of 7.3 miilion..then it becomes clear that its not so easy...the 2nd and 3rd prize payouts on average will be low too...the starting *cash* jac

Countdown to Powerball in Florida
I don't see why people complain about the steeper odds. The odds when PB first started were ridiculously high, and even the odds of any state game with jackpots of $1 million or more are high enough that you don't have any real chance of winning. Even for the relatively low odds of 1 in 10 million, playing $1000 per year would mean you could only expect to win once every 10,000 years. The jackpots are going to get very big every few months, and you can take the chance or not. My guess is that th
