I'm new in this forum and I saw all kind of calculation about how to increase your odds. We are simple increase ours by buying bulk tickets in a pool lottery system everybody can join. Last drawing we bought 560 tickets:spent $560 and won $75

Powerball Billion Dollar Jackpot
It depends on sales. The starting amount is based on an increase of 351 million, which is 70 million shy of the previous increase. I'm guessing we're still at a point where sales will increase, but nobody knows for sure what will happen. The previous sales record was $651 million for the record MM, but PB now has the record at $880.6 million. At some point sales won't go up no matter how big the jackpot is. There's also the matter of when people buy tickets. The amount spent through Monday mo

$600 MILLION: Biggest Powerball jackpot ever
why not $700 tomorrow night The increase in what they advertise doesn't mean they've actually sold those tickets already. It only means the sales so far have let them make a more accurate estimate. I'm guessing they also deliberately lowball it a bit when it gets to this level, so they can generate even more hype when they do bump up the total. Figuring they knew the original estmate was low, we've seen an increase of $75 million followed by an increase of $50 million. I'd bet on an incr

CNN producer tells what it's like to win lottery twice
Many of us do have good reasoning ability, but according to lottoreport, about 18.5 million tickets were sold for the previous ($50 million) PB drawing. At that time MM was offering a bigger prize at the same odds for half as much per chance. I'd say that's a lot of people making a choice that's not based on good reasoning. FWIW, those 18.5 million tickets contributed almost $11.9 million (cash) to the jackpot. That would increase the advertised annuity value by about $19 million if they jack

Only $5 million increase
I think a lot of folks believed the cross selling of PB and MM tickets would bring about larger increase in game-to-game jackpot amounts. The increase for next game is $5 million. Maybe the rush to buy PB tickets by former MegaMillions only states isn't as large as the experts had hoped.

Powerball now has the potential...
There is no limit to how much the jackpot can increase until the jackpot exceeds the existing record. Right now that record is 365 million. In theory, people could go crazy over the next 3 days and buy 400 million tickets. If that happened, the cash value would increase by about $128 million, which would mean an increase in the annuity value of about 218 million. That would result in an advertised jackpot of 364 million. If 500 million tickets were sold there would be an extra 32 million cash, w

New Florida Lotto playslips a bother to some
Well I guess I can say that if you want to win over 20 mil, just have a little patience. After consecutive draws and no one hits the jackpot the rollovers will soon push the jackpot past the 25 million dollar mark, then play for $1 per ticket. Further more , when nobody hits that particular jackpot of lets say about 3 million, the jackpots themselves rolllover and increase(what im saying is you dont have to spend one dollar extra to increase the jackpot it will increase by itself as the rollo

Info On RNG'S
If it was not possible for people to increase their chances of winning perhaps there would be no reason to cheat, but even if they increase the odds against the players, some players can increase their own odds of winning, how can they control that other than by cheating?, the lotteries by now are aware that there are people who can win on games a lot more often than most others, a few members of LP seem to know how to win one or more lottery games a lot more often than they would if they bought

Powerball & Megamillions Growing
Why do you say PowerBall is capped at $390 million? Also, to say the PowerBall is capped isn't exactly correct, it's the increase that is capped. The increase cap is $25 million. The cap is only applied when the jackpot FIRST meets or exceeds the current record, which is $365 million. As you saw last night, the $181 million jackpot went up to $210 million. That's an increase of $29 million. If PowerBall comes a little short of the record(for example $350-$360 million), the increase won't be appl
