China reveals misuse of $2.7 billion in lottery funds
China has uncovered widespread misappropriation of 16.9 billion yuan (US$2.72 billion) of funds from its state lottery program, underscoring the extent of official corruption as the country tries to root out graft. Funds were misappropriated through the buying and building of office buildings and hotels or embezzled, the National Audit Office said in a report on its website. The state auditor said the irregularities accounted for a quarter of the total of lottery funds received in its 2012

Waiting for Wealth
Interesting point of view....mind answering a few questions for me ?? Your 2nd sentence for example, that they take enough money to support themselves, their family, church and community .....Well, WHO decides how much ???.. Where do you set the limit on how much is enough? If you set a limit, is it based on the city, county or state you live in?....... Shouldn't we want more computerized lottery systems?
First of all it's sequitur not sequiter . And I doubt I have to demonstrate it to the entire LP community because I assume most here understand basic physics. True randomness does not exist, because it cannot exist! Everything operates within the boundaries of a finite system. Sure the variables are there but even these have finite limits. Cause and effect=not random. Because of this, patterns have the possibility of existing, because they MUST exist. Whether or not this correlates to the number

Lottery bill could limit winner's take
I know that was said tongue-in-cheek tc, but I'm truly no apologist for Republicans. Congress is rife with corruption and lying, self-serving weasels on both sides of the aisle but the democrats have taken the practice to an art form. But since the last election it has gone from corruption to sedition bordering on treason in my opinion on the left side of the aisle and in the White House. Have you ever checked out any of the people Obama has surrounded himself with? His closest advisors

Ontario Lottery players don't know who to trust
With widespread corruption or at least permissiveness of corruption coming to light in Ontario, lottery players don't know who to turn to when there is a problem. Take, for instance, the case of a player who realized his lottery ticket was mis-printed. Thomas Hong always does what the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. asks him to do check your tickets. And that's what he did on the recent March 16 Super 7 draw, but there was one hitch, he was missing four bonus lines on one ticket

Is the Lottery (PB/MM) corrupt?
The manager of the Texas lottery over Drawings, said Gtech has control of all terminals switches. Yes the comment by CSFB about after the game is drawn can a terminal produce the winning numbers yes Gtech can. There is not one central button that shuts off each terminal. Its kinda like your lights, or water. They can shut off your lights if you don't pay the bill from their terminal. This does not shut off everyone elses lights. Every person that went to the polls and voted for a State lo

Are Lotteries Rigged
Well, where should I start? I believe that, for the most part, state-run lotteries are honest games but, like any other industry that generates hundreds of millions of dollars, they're subject to an element of deception, fraud and corruption. I live in Indiana (not on purpose; my wife is from here), and I've played almost every online game they offer at one time or another. I bought an expensive Pick-4 system last year and used it religiously every day for several months, without a single hit.

2026 lottery headlines you hope to see
We would be 1000% better off. The corruption and grifting, the stupid ballroom, the Gestapo (ICE) who murders citizens on camera and escapes all accountability, the stupid tariffs, the many violations of court orders, the damaged relationships with our allies, the pardons of fraudsters and drug dealers and 1/6/21 rioters, it is off the scale, hurtling us towards banana republic status. Unlike the 45th President, the 47th President has surrounded himself with nothing but lawless yes-men, bootlick
