We've seen some lotteries replacing some of their games with games that have better overall odds, and that put more of the prize pool in smaller prizes. Which one is the best though? My pick has to be the original, Match 6. Not only are there plenty of smaller prizes which are easy to win, but it also gets big jackpots. And not just any big jackpots, big CASH jackpots!

Opinion on new Georgia Fantasy 5Reply
Michigan has the exact same game as Georgia. Our jackpots start out at $100,000 and is usually hit around the $200,000 with a high of $810,000. The lower tier prizes are 100, 10, 1 for match 4,3,2 respectively. I mean I like the high jackpots but I wouldn't mind getting more for matching 4 and 3 numbers. How high has the jackpots been getting in GA?Brad

This is where I think we become biased. I posted this before and will again. As lottery directors and commissioners or what ever their titles are they have one job. Maximize revenue. That means sell as many tickets as you can. If you sell $500,000 worth of tickets when the jackpots are small and $5,000,000 when the jackpots are big what are you going to do? I agree with you Lantern, a 6/50 game will be great, but just don't expect huge jackpots.Again, I agree with you, in the Texas already has huge jackpots with Mega Millions. A classic Lotto game does not have to be one with Texas-sized jackpots.
