Small Winnings Tax Question
Cash your tickets all at once..If you have a single ticket for 599.00 and it cost you 1.00 and you have a lot of them you can cash them all at once..I once hit the 122 three times and it paid 400.00 each..I cashed them at Krogers all at once and they gave me 1,200.00..If you need to pay tax the machine will say you need to pay taxes..The law says 599.00 for a 1.00 ticket..If your not sure call the lottery outlet in your state....

How Honest Are You?
You can't take a ticket to different stores and get paid a portion of the winnings. The machine will tell the clerk that the winner has to go to the lottery office. The clerk has a form for you to fill out and take it with your ticket to the lottery office. Here in California it is over $599.

Woman claims Publix cashier threw away winning lotto ticket
A continuation ticket is a ticket which is issued when a person purchases a ticket for several draws in advance, and wins a prize before the entire draw range is completed, the lottery machine issues a ticket for the remainder of the time the ticket is valid.

What are the common problems you face when playing Mega Million?
Fighting the urge to buy just one more ticket... Actually I wasn't going to even buy a single MM ticket until this coming Tuesday but I gave in and ended up buying two. My local grocery store's (store where I get a lot of sucky picks with consecutive numbers) machine was down and maybe I should have taken that as a sign but I went ahead and bought a ticket each at two gas stations. If anything I'm getting an idea as to the quality of the numbers picked by their machines...

Won more than you thought...
Yes, this has happened to me a few times with scratchoff tickets. Some of the games like the bingo cards can be confusing. You never quite know what you win until the ticket is run through the machine because you can win multiple times on one ticket. It's easy to miscalculate.

Does $9 goof point to larger problems with Ontario Lottery?
This is a THEORY of what happened. MAYBE in another store they punched in (not scanned) a code that was one digit off but matched this person's ticket, OR it was somehow a stolen ticket or number. Maybe some unscrupulous vendors punch in numbers at random in the machine hoping one turns out lucky.

Computer Glitch? Comments please.
Where I work the terminals will print a ticket.. qp for no reason at all.. We can be cleaning or stocking and we hear the machine and go up to find a powerball ticket printed.. I usually buy it or split it with the co-workers.. Who knows why this happens?

Mega Draw
The ticket sellers in Canada all have a machine that you stick the top half of your ticket into it tells you if you have any winners. Takes 2 seconds.
