Do any of you personally know any lottery winners?
Lots of people live in NYC with very modest incomes, but even people who are doing better live in apartments that are about the size of my garage.
If your income doesn't depend on living in NYC I'd think that moving would be a good idea, unless you've got a pretty substantial income. One of the early winners of a (then) unusually big NY lotto jackpot won $20 million, back when a fixed annuity paid in 21 installments was the only option. He told the press he was going to stay in the Bronx and

Man buys wrong lottery ticket, wins $169 million
I just re-read the entire article written by the NY Daily News which is an ultra left wing outlet and they insinuate that the husband only bought the $1 mega million and none of the PB tickets that his wife requested. Several other articles not written by the Daily News mention that he bought $20 worth of Powerball tickets thus leaving him with a dollar in his wallet and at that point decided to spend it on a MM ticket.
Articles like this use selective editing in order to glorify a set of eve

NJ-based company exposed for making dubious claims about beating lottery
I'm surprised that this article appeared on the Lottery Post given what they are selling.
All those other predictors are the same. Or at least none of them have met the burden of proof for their claims.
The thing about these systems is that if they worked, that would mean that the draws are predictable and therefore non-random by definition. Which consequently means that any lottery that claims in the rules of the game that the draws are random, is in violation of its own rules, and playe

7 arrested in Georgia Lottery winner's murder
I have had the privilege of working with some African American guys over the years, whom I have tremendous respect for. They did not look or act anything like the suspects in the picture. Quoting Martin Luther King, it's judging a person by their character. I can look at those dudes in the picture and most definitely judge them as drug-induced animals. I said in a post in a previous article about this that I believed drugs were in involved and I got raked being called a racist. Well, look real g

North Carolina: Ball Machines vs. Computer Generated System
Does anyone know if North Carolina is switching from ball machines to a computer generated drawing system ??? And if so, why ??? Todd's recent article made mention of the fact that the NC Lottery Commission is installing new computers to run all of its lottery games. Does this statement refer to a computer generated drawing system ???
North Carolina's Report Card Rating will go from B to F, if the state switches drawing systems.
More importantly, what is the best way for lottery players i

How a group of MIT students gamed the Massachusetts Lottery
Could you, or anyone, please tell me what the gist of the story was?
I can't read the whole article. It truly is too long for me.
I had read about half, and couldn't read anymore.
What I got out of it was that there was this lotto game in Mass. and it turned out to be quite profitable. Then, one day, a few students from MIT pooled their money together for a total of a grand, in this pool. The Winfall game actually became a profitable lottery game to play, because of the distribution, wh

7 reasons to be glad you didn't hit the PB
Well, I do agree in theory because I think for every bad story, there are a hundred - or many more - good ones. The media knows that a story of someone who lost it all grabs more attention than a story about someone who took their win and used it wisely. ( If it bleeds, it leads. ) I also think that 65% figure of all lottery winners go bankrupt is numerical fiction. I've seen a 70% number tossed around, and IF the article cites a source, it's attributed to a National Endowment for Financial Edu

Powerball at $112 million. Do you like Cynthia Stafford's chances...?
It's topical because Stafford hasnt shut up about wining her jackpot since 2007,
The reason it's topical for you is because you watch lottery related TV shows. LP News had an article about Stafford just two weeks ago with four pages of discussions. There are now two discussions on the same topic and no skin off my nose that you and the trucker try to feel superior by ragging on Stafford.
Hopefully by repeating what I said n the my last post (the post you quoted}, you'll finally understan
