New Georgia lottery scratch game popular with players

Why most states dont get this is beyond me. They waste their time coming out with new games that they think will increase revenue when in the long run they peter out. To increase sales states need to INCREASE payback percentage. Some of these states are highway robbers paying

Testing wheel 9,6,5,5
You cannot evaluate which wheel is better that way.A rule of thumb suggests that we try to minimize our costs (reduce total tickets) and retain high hit ratios. Obviously both wheels will offer 100% hit on 5if5 condition but what are the % rates for higher divisions? We expect a 34 ticket wheel will offer a bit higher hit rates but at the same time we increase our overall cost. 99% of the time, this analogy is worse compared to the world record wheel. However, a case that BobP suggests and shoul

It looks as if the $5.00 MM ticket is doing poorly.
Sales are lower. But they are making more money. Do to the price increase.
Just one data point, but the first 3 drawings for 400+ had sales of $105 million compared to $117 million for the first 3 drawings for 400 the last time it got there before the price increase. That's just hair under 90%. Looking at PB sales for 3 drawings at 400+ at roughly the same times the more recent run had sales of 88% of the previous sales.
Again, that's a limited set of data but it looks like lower MM sal

$970 MILLION: Mega Millions ticket-buying frenzy forces new jackpot estimate
What are the estimated sales?
You can figure the estimated sales from the estimated jackpot. As a rough measure sales are equal to the increase in the advertised annuity. For a more precise estimate you can check past sales on lottoreport, com and compare that to the increase. The $119 million increase from 548 to 667 had sales of about 105 million tickets, so each $1 million of increase equates to about 882,000 tickets (ignoring minor differences in annuity/cash ratio). That means for a jac

Powerball changing in October to generate bigger jackpots
Oh, I definitely understand what they're trying to convey here but, is it not an increasing progression of failure at some point? I mean, I can respect players like yourself who are only looking for a cool second tier prize plus maybe the multiplier and you're as happy as a pig in a mud bath. However, by increasing the field, they can surely increase the second tier prize but it also makes it just that much harder to win it...it's still progressive. Sure, the difference in odds for a 2nd tier pr

$244 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery frenzy ramps up
Todd,
Large jackpots are a more commonplace occurence in any given state now that neither PowerBall nor MegaMillions is the only giant jackpot game in any given state. The larger jackpots may not occur more often in any one of the games, but with both games in states, it is rather commonplace. And a jackpot does not necessarily have to be over $200 million to be considered large; I think I covered what I meant by referring to large jackpots in my previous posts.
Since January 2010 when cro

I don't uderstand what you mean when you say the problem is in my estimates. Can you point me to the place in the help where estimates are explained? I will check into the differences segments and the latest beta version for the best tickets filter.
Thanks!
