Illinois State Lottery Report Card !!
Yeah CT, check it out... NBC News Chicago ran an article on it. I don't know if I can post links here...
People should be outraged, this is absolute bizzaro world now.
The state should NOT be permitted to sell tickets anymore until this is resolved. It's been nearly 4 months now- ridiculous!!!
They just started selling tickets for a raffle game... ANOTHER game they most likely won't pay out!
Some state representative got interviewed and said the exact same thing and was planning to p

Illinois lottery winners file class-action lawsuit against state
I'm in Illinois and play Lucky Day Lotto daily and Illinois Lotto each draw. I had not heard a word about payments being suspended until a few days ago. When I first heard that they were suspending the payments until a budget is agreed on, I wasn't worried. I figured they would eventually come up with a budget and everyone would be paid if the reason they are suspending payments is really due to the budget fight.
What has me concerned now is that I haven't read one article that says don't

Powerball change?
Publicity is lottery by lottery basis, a quick Google search will bring up a multitude of news articles publicizing the change.

Maryland Lottery to join Cash4Life game in early 2016
Here's a little gem from that article for people going to casinos in Maryland ... something to think about if you like casinos.
The commission also unanimously approved the slots payout change sought by the state's five casinos.
Under the amended rule, the state will relax a requirement that each casino must pay out an average of 90 percent to 95 percent of the money bet at all of its machines over the course of a year.
Instead, the casinos will be subject to an average floor

What do you do if you have a winning lottery ticket?
I don't think anyone is worrying about what if but it doesn't hurt to research these things. Gaining knowledge has been a life-long hobby of mine and other than being Cliff Clavin at a dinner party or getting on Jeopardy, it's probably not ever going to benefit me....but you never know.
I've learned several things or gained more knowledge about them in the last few days; I just learned something more about CDARS from KYFloyd in this thread, just finished up an article about balsamic vinega

Would you stop playing the lottery if you were restricted to Quick Picks?
I found an article online about the Michigan couple, the corporation, and how they basically bogarted the terminals.
LP had several articles about them too.
I thought of what they did more as a scheme than a system. They saw an opportunity and had the finances to take advantage of it. Massachusetts created that roll down scheme to generate sales and was happy to accept their money until the news coverage make it seem like their finances gave them an unfair advantage.
The idea of a lo

What to Do, or Not Do if You Win the 123 Million Lottery
Good post, good article. I particularly liked Twelve Things Not to Do If You Win the Lottery. Some should go w/out saying, though, such as don't leave your debts in place . I'd pay off every one of my debts, even sending money to old friends I had once borrowed a dollar from to buy a soda pop. I think I could die a fairly happy guy even if I had gone through most of the money but didn't owe a dime to anyone. I think one of my hobbies would be, if I should be so fortunate as to win, would be to s

Calling all WA state lotto players please read and make it viral
Hello fellow WA lotto players,
I really would like to start a signature ballot going and the purpose is to get WA Lottery to return to the ball wheeling system.. Computerized wheeling is not truly random and must be disposed.. I have no idea how to get this going and would like some help and people to get this on the ballot.. I believe the good folks in WA will agree with me and get this on the voters ballot and get it passed. Case in point in a recent article one person hacked the computer
