if "someone" found a way to beat the lottery wheel-would you label that cheating?
Richard Lustig won several jackpots but his combined winnings had no effect on lottery profits. The scratch-off payoffs were expected, just not an expectation to pay several to one player and so where the pick-5 winnings. When the Australian syndicate bought the Virginia Lotto jackpot, they contributed to even higher lottery profits. Their jackpot was paid by paid by past ticket sales and their secondary prize wins were paid from their own ticket purchases.

Are you a creature of habit when purchasing your lottery tickets?
You seem to asking whether or not people believe stores where jackpots have been won possess some attribute or quality that might give players there an edge. The initial Topic post makes no mention of the volume of sales at these stores and it seems to me that OnlyMoney is legitimately pointing out that the number of big winners at a given store is more likely to correlate with their sales volume than with any other phenomena.

My local lottery office - VAN NUYS - CALIFORNIA (LA county)
He tore apart the winning ticket by accident. It is very ironic, most lottery jackpots winners wished that they tore the winning ticket apart. LOL

Are you more likely to pick your own # or QP's when the jackpot is Huge?
When the jackpot is huge, I'll play a few extra lines and will include 1 or 2 QPs. In total, I'll probably play 3 or 4 of my own rows and 1 or 2 QPs if the jackpot is substantial.. on for smaller jackpots I stick to either 2 or 3 rows of my own numbers and 0 or 1 QP row.

Co-workers share lottery cash with colleague in need
What great people, shame they only won that small amount. These are the kinds of people that deserve the big jackpots. I hope they win one in the future.

If you won a large jackpot...
I once heard a guy say if he won one of those crazy jackpots he would buy 5 luxury condos in key cities in the country and I liked that idea a lot. A young man with money is unstoppable

One week and still no winner name announced for CA SLP promotion
Probably too busy thinking about the cha ching flowing in from the Powerball Jackpot etc. They have a tendency to get distracted. Like not implementing the PB earlier in 2012 because they were concerned the other lesser jackpots in the State would be overlooked. They could start by getting rid of Daily Derby, its nothing more than an albatross.

Do you see PB jackpots of $300 mil plus a fluke going forward with California joining in soon?
Oh yeah. It seemed like PB could go broke back in December, when it paid four $50 million jackpots in a row. Those were underfunded by a total of $59 million. PB is REALLY taking a gamble with its $40 million opening jackpot and $10 million minimum increases.
