I've used letters to represent groups of numbers like A for the lower half and B for the higher half and E and O for even and odd numbers in a pool which makes looking at the distribution of numbers in past drawings easier.

Well stated. There are TENDENCIES in the choices, the problem is, once you have narrowed those down, you STILL need luck to hit it. For example, there are 5 WB's that hit, I narrow each one of those down to a pool of numbers, usually four each, but even at that, you still need a lot of luck to get each one right. I'm right behind ya there omiller, Let someone else be what I call the pushers of passing the losers. I am just going to observe from afar for awhile. Been seeing patterns so I will follow that idea and when the moment strikes I may dip in the ticket pool again and try my luck. FOr now my money is going to the horses :)

Lately, my 'system' dictates a small pool of numbers, and I have noticed that a lot of the numbers I come up with today are the numbers that hit 3-4 draws ago - and I come up with these numbers NOT LOOKING AT what hit 3-4 draws ago until AFTER I have come up with my pool. Somehow I need to get it advanced, I have missed on all five WB's hitting 4 or 5 times by a week or two. I just decided to keep the 0 at the other end. My filters will have the same effectiveness either way because the conversion itself is consistent. Each digit has it's own fixed same pool equivalent.
