Florida man wins multimillion lottery jackpot for 2nd time
Congratulations, Mr. Bozeman. At this point, he can probably afford to buy his namesake town in Montana. I didn't see in the article whether he had also taken the annuity on the previous win. I hope he took the cash value on the first one, unless he's planning to buy a whole lotta Geritol when he's 99. Led Zep: Wanna whole lotta Geritol... Isn't that how it goes?

Tickets for updated Mega Millions game on sale Saturday
This is the part in the article where I noticed immediately the NEW odds of winning various prizes that are listed are incorrect. How can the Odds of matching ONLY the mega Ball be 1 in 21, if there are only15 Mega Balls to choose from?? That would be impossbile. Obviously if I play one game and pick one mega Ball out of the 15 that are avaiable to choose from, my odds of correctly matching ONLY THE MEGA BALL ARE 1 in 15. Figures don't lie but lairs figure as the saying goes. The overall od

Sully, Moon, Empress L@@K @ Master Number 11 Predictiona
Do appreciate the kind encouragment Gr8ful1 ~ DOWN FROM THE DARKSIDE? October 15th Day of joy and spiritual alchemy, I came across an article. It described from a science perspective why some people focus on the negative. In the past, genetics were attributed to emotional perception like depression, but new studies shed a different light. Though genes do play a part in emotional disposition, risk is greatly increased by negative thinking. Researches obs

Be sure to check your tickets, because the state won't make any effort to find you if you win
I was just reading the article about the expired 1 million dollar ticket in Indiana and I noticed this little quote.... McFarland told CNN that the state makes no special effort -- such as reviewing Circle K's surveillance tape -- to try to figure out who this, or any other winner, is. the state just wants the money for their selves. MM numbers looks odd again??
Yup, there was an article in the Amarillo paper about it and they quoted some math prof. from a local college about the odds of it happening. I also remember another man from Texas playing one of the nationwide lotteries in New Mexico who got 6 or 7 QP and they were all the same number. I saw a photo of all the tickets, but still wondered if it *might* be some sort of hoax. If not, then there had to be something wrong w/ that lotto terminal, wouldn't you say? Both lines looked funny to me,

Twelve things not to do if you win the lottery
One group not mentioned in the article is the Multi-State Lottery Association MUSL . We have some vague idea what they do but does a winner if they choose the Annuity Option see the specific securities purchased on their behalf. Is there a certified audit of the MUSL? I have no reason to doubt they do what is promised but Enron......World Telecom....TYCO.... Lehman Brothers all were the pillars of the business community then fraud or mismanagement. If their securities go bad do you real

California's Pick 3 glitch
I dont think you need the test drawings to do a complete analysis. However if there was a glitch as was alleged, then the test draws would/should have the same anamoly and that would be/should be proof that there most likely could have/was a glitch. However as Cash4Jedi said, Pre-draws/post-draws dont pay, so what the point of tracking them anyway? IMHO at least. I read the Jon D La times posted article and this is what it said. The programmer inadvertently copied a line of softwar

Twelve things not to do if you win the lottery
Good article, a lot of common sense, I'm just not sure about this: Automatically decide to take the up-front cash. Supposedly some 70% of lottery winners end up broke again, many within a couple or few years. If you get $172 million up front, it may sound better than having to receive a payout of $300 million slowly over the course of a lifetime. After all, it is instant empire-making money. Go see a tax pro and a legitimate investment advisor at a top money management firm, a theme you will

COMPUTERIZED DRAWING GLITCH STRIKES ARIZONA LOTTERY
I would hope that the entities that run the lotteries do not intentionally rig things, considering that there are just too many people watching for such things ... too easy to get caught. The entire problem with the computerized drawings, unlike the ping-pong-ball drawings, just like the article states, nobody can see what is really happening, until it continues to happen for a length of time. One problem I have with Arizona's fix, is that not only is it screwing those who may have already th

How much money per week would you consider Set for Life?
I like that saying Jon... Less stressed for life ... you should see if Cali will buy that slogan from you on the next set of scratchers I saw that article too a while back. There were several takes on the data in that study too... for example how do you define happiness ... hard to quantify etc. Also saw a range from $75,000 up to $160,000... but $75K seemed to be the sweet spot for most. Interesting to note where other nations fell in that study... think Germany was around $80,000, Si
