He was somewhat affluent to begin with so he definitely needed estate planning and should have formed a trust in which his attorney could have made the claim. 400k isn't too large an amount in terms of lottery jackpots so I doubt few would have interest in knowing who was under that trust.

No one has been hitting it lately I have a theory as to why. The people who have played and already won jackpots that were too easy for THEM to win, they are now no longer in the game which leaves the rest of us. PB and MM are definitely NOT easy for any of us posting here at LP because obviously none of us have won.

If good sense and reason were a dictate, Boney would have an interest in this approach as he only plays for extreme jackpots and on the night PB was $588 million my selections would have given him BETTER ODDS.

Looks like Mega Millions is stunning now too. Its jackpot actually got over $40 million for the first time in six weeks! One more roll, and it will be at an almost-three-month high! I think Mega Millions is trying to set a record for how long its jackpot can stay under $100 million though - it hasn't been over $100 million since last 9/11. At least, good for the MUSL, Mega Millions' jackpots aren't underfunded after one or two rollovers like Powerball's are.

I've given them as presents in the past on probably 2 or 3 occasions, but it was done during a really high jackpot. After reading about jackpots not being claimed from tickets that were probably given as Christmas gifts, I doubt giving them as gifts is something I will ever do again....

That's the wrong approach, IMO, unless there are multiple jackpots of comparable sizes to their odds of winning. I put wrong in quotes since it is just an opinion. Any amount of money I'm willing to play will be played on one game, and just one game on the rare occasion in which there is a nice jackpot. Then again my lottery play is very different than most on here. I don't play for months at a time, and then on one night when the Jersey Cash 5 grows over 800K, I play between 10 and 50 d

Time is money.Yes, the base jackpots are too low, but it would not matter to some of us, if we were able to play the lottery through the Internet like in Illinois.

Maybe PB is counting on California to finally justify its minimum rollover amount. I'll bet even WITH California in the game, PB will still keep its current format; all it will do is just decrease the number of rolls it takes for PB jackpots to break out of the guaranteed label.
