Disputed $50M lottery jackpot partially paid out
I doubt a dispute would occur within the friends I'm planning on doing this with
While you know your friends and I dont, and you certainly could be correct with your assumption, you should never forget money (especially large amounts of it) will make even the most loving of family members turn against one and another. I witnessed that very thing happen in my own family. I saw every ugly bit of it, including the lawyers for each side.
I live in the state of New York. The NY Lottery offer

Disputed $50M lottery jackpot partially paid out
I'm thinking about doing a small lotto pool. If I do, it's going to be among a few friends but I am going to first make a contract and make sure that it is legal for me to add a clause that says in the case of a dispute, the director (me), can determine if somebody is entitled to anything. Because I trust myself to do what is right, and because I doubt a dispute would occur within the friends I'm planning on doing this with.... It's other people outside of it that I'd be concerned about.

This is the reason that lottery pools need to have written rules that cearly spell out who is in the pool and any reasons that a member would be dropped from a drawing.

What's with NY Sweet Million??
yes, the jackpot was won in washington heights. Also known as uptown manhattan.i have played lottery in some stores nearby.I never played in that store because it is almost hidden. If you google map it, you will notice that it is located near the A-train entrance at 181 street. Maybe next month i will play the sweet million with my pool money or informal lottery sindicate as some call it.The best thing is that i'm the only member.I don't have to share with anybody if i win.

I've been running a pool at work for several years playing Powerball and Louisiana Lotto and sometimes the Millionaire Raffle. With Powerball at $63 million, maybe we'll hit it.

Are Auto Picks for Mega Millions and Power Balls Generated at The Retailer's Terminal?
I posted the below listed questions to the Mega Millions and Powerbal States. All the states that have responded to me so far have the same answers with the exception of Michigan. My original questions are in black and Michigan Lottery Bureau's response are in red. Thier responses except for No. 7 are exactly opposite to the answers I received from all the other games states. Could any one comment on the accuracy of Michigan's response. I was expecting some consistency with what goes on in Michi

MADDOG'S Powerball Challenges (Discussion)
It can be shown that when using a smaller pool of numbers, if by chance three or more of the winning numbers are in it,
IF!
maybe a pool of 24 WB and 8 PB is more likely to have all the winning numbers thus reducing the odds of winning the jackpot to 1:340032 when that happens.
Of course (8*C(24,5)) tickets gives you [MANY] more chances to win than (4*C(12,5)) ticket purchases. But don't forget, those many more tickets are not free, and must be used in calculating your odds, costs,
