Kansas Mega Millions winner claims jackpot anonymously
the next town over is a mighty long distance from ottawa, but maybe, anythings possible. but if he is from that small town, hopefully he is not like ted danson in Curb Your Enthusiasm. ted danson makes an anonymous donation but then proceeds to go around telling everyone that he was anonymous. search for it on youtube its great.

Kansas Mega Millions winner claims jackpot anonymously
I don't really care about being anonymous but it would be more convenient. But I am just saying don't have some states that can be and others that can't. That is stupid. I will stop playing because I just think the jackpot games are a rip off and could be fixed. Being anonymous does not help that problem. For all we know the lottery could have claimed it back themselves.

$500 MILLION: Mega Millions sets all-time lottery jackpot record
If you want to remain anonymous, set up a proxy or if you want to remain completely anonymous download an openvpn client and purchase your own vpn(virtual private network). If someone does win on this forum, I think the best way to have proof of winning is to post the county you purchased the winning ticket before the information is released.

Representative of Hot Lotto winner named in lawsuit
Excellent point Stack. When people complain about the option of being anonymous, they are not thinking long term. If all lottery wins were anonymous, there would be considerable doubt about the validity and integrity of any such lottery. In general, people need to put a face name to all large lotto wins so that they feel they also have a remote chance of winning.

Iowa Lottery security chief bent on determining identity of jackpot winner
who ever the winner is, they have gone to great lengths to remain anonymous. The Jackpot has been won. Respect their wishes to remain anonymous. If Steve Bogle is as good of a criminal investigater as everyone is claiming for getting to the bottom of thing. Maybe we should have, had him to investigate to Fannie Mae Emuron.

Iowa $16.5M Hot Lotto winner claims prize with two hours to spare
I'm guessing that they were trying/hoping to remain anonymous and the lawyers spent the year trying to find a way for them to remain anonymous. They probably set up a trust in New York, with New York lawyers doing that work and the Iowa lawyers were sent to claim the jackpot.I can see lots of headaches taking place, what with all of the lawyers involved trying to find a way to keep the lid on the whole thing. They finally came down to the last hours and decided it was now or never and went ahead and

Should I Remain Anonymous with a $10K to $1 Million Win?
Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone thinks its worth the 'work' to create a blind trust and have my lawyer or financial advisors collect my winnings if its between $10,000 - $1,000,000? I'm DEFINITELY doing this when I hit a multi-million dollar jackpot, but was wondering if its worth it for a smaller win!

After 17 months, Ohio Lotto jackpot finally won
I find it interesting how this article talks about the Ohio winners who were identified going on to do bad things. Though perhaps the anonymous winners might have committed crimes as well and we'll never know. It's interesting though cuz it gives the idea that the good ones stayed anonymous. Heh

Clerk's lottery ticket error wins woman $1 million
I'm with you maringoman, if I won a Jackpot and I lived in a state that allows winners to be anonymous, I wouldn't even return to the store where I bought the ticket. Unfortunately for me, I dont live in a state that allows winners of multi-million dollar jackpots to remain anonymous.
I dont know if The State of Kentucky forced Pam to come forward or not, but IMHO, this particular situation kind of forces Pam to do something for the clerk. The story of the clerk's error was all over the news.
