Took a look at Jackpot Winners and Retailers Information Report for FF5 on The Florida Lottery's website this morning because I haven't looked at it since I dunno when. Based on the worksheet I figured a roll should be about 1.011 billion, but playing it safe and advertising an even billion isn't a surprise. The most recent worksheet estimates the supported annuity at 1.017. 1-MM should bring the price back down to $1. You want wide public participation in this type of game to pump the jackpot up. 2-most of lottery players are low-income people. 3-play the game three times / week like PB has done (T-R-Sun). 4-$1 price wouldn't make people to think twice about spending money to play the 1:292M odds (I'll try my luck with chump changes). 5-take 45% cut of the jackpot instead of 60% (return some of the money back to those initial jackpots).

I hear ya MsBee.... I always thought it was nice having 2 options at the same price to have the jackpots rise at noticable rates. The MM is a big yawn and isn't creating the interest that it used to just 10 months ago. It would also grant the Lottery the ability to deny a claim for a winning lottery or sports wager ticket if it was found to have been purchased in relation to a bulk transaction. I agree I think it's going to end up between 1.45 and 1.5 tonight. The worksheet is reporting a supported annuity of 1.411, and I'd imagine they're still being deliberately conservative, so 1.45 seems likely to be close to the least we should be expecting. Saturday is projected at 1.7 but I'll be surprised if it's not between 1.8 and 1.9 They're forecasting sales of $467 million, and a supported annuity of 1.762, so I'd think it should easily get to 1.8.
