Do some number combinations have better odds?
Stack47, Your responses to both of the clips you quoted from my post are very telling. And in a way, they're puzzling. Look above. In response to me encouraging you to present your potentially revolutionary ideas to a premier mathematical software publisher, instead of thanking me and making inquiries at Mathworks, you go on the defensive and make statements clearly indicating you are not confident in your beliefs. Perhaps you feel your ideas need to be peer reviewed before presenting them to

$325 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot goes through the roof
And the sentence right before that (which you did not include in your quote) was, Love it or hate it, Powerball's pricing and prize structure changes that went into effect in January have indeed paid off for those wanting to play for big jackpots. So people reading the article would understand why this is the third $300+ million Powerball jackpot this year. Because of the price and prize changes. Love it or hate it. BTW, just make sure you have some kind of rules in writing for your pool

NY brothers charged in plot to steal $5M New York Lottery ticket
This whole thing was fishy from the get-go, and many who post here thought something was wrong when the first news article appeared. Dont you think The NYS Lottery thought something was very wrong too? Give them some credit! They werent born yesterday, they've seen all the scams, and they took the best steps they could to get to the real truth. Kudo's to them. The Lottery has an obligation to protect the lottery playing public from scam artists, and they take that responsibility seriously.

RL's Digit Master Pro Big Game software download.
Fair enough, I hope I didn't come off as scam artist-y. I guess I'll leave my suggestion here in the open for anyone that wishes to consider it. My suggestion is to read as much about cognitive biases as you can to avoid pitfalls in the decision-making process. As an Excel guy that loves and uses a lot of filters it's helped my playing a lot. I'm pretty sure I can't post links yet, but you can find a good list of the most common cognitive biases by Googling list of cognitive biases. The fi

Can dreams reveal winning numbers (Story)
Below is an article i read a few minutes ago, and what interested me was at one point where she said fasting made her images more accurate. It's near the end of the article. Enjoy. Every once in a while the news media reports on how a state lottery jackpot winner claimed to have seen the winning numbers in a dream. Time magazine profiled one such dreamer in December 2005, a 43-year-old Pakistani immigrant named Ihsanullah Khan, who drove a taxi cab in Washington and saw the numbers 2,4,6

W.Va. Lottery has $81M surplus
Sometimes other state agencies show small profits and that money usually goes to the next year's budget. The West Virginia Lottery is unique in that they also get revenues from the casinos they have at their racetracks and in the last fiscal year, the expectation was exceeded by $81 million. According to the article, the state budget earmarked $521.5 million from all lottery and gaming revenues to the PROMISE college scholarship program and other areas of education, as well as programs meant to

Why not just help her get one now media? Do you really need to win the lottery to help out you mom? I recently helped my ex get a car cuz it seemed like a good thing to do. (and my son was bugging me to help out) I had to kick in a few grand and it used some of my savings but helping people out is sometimes more important to me than having money growing mold in a bank somewhere that I may never get to use. lol. lol. lol. Two workers in lottery pool sue over $118 million ticket
All I know, based on the common sense of Property Ownership It's not about property ownership . It's a contract dispute that's governed by contract law. If the claims in the article are true the two people suing were members of the pool and participated in the winning drawing. As members they're entitled to share in the winnings under the same rules as all other members. If those rules are that prizes are shared equally they're entitled to equal shares. A party (or parties) to a contract
