How does scratch off lottery work?
why would lottery tell you how many winning tickets have been sold and how many have been left? Let's say if the big prize winning ticket is sold on the 2nd day since the pool is distributed and if you make this information available people will quit buying and sales will go down. In this way lottery won't earn the revenues based on their assumptions and may go bankrupt.

Wearing a disguise to claim lottery winnings. Is it allowed in Mega Millions & Powerball
No, I was working at University Hospital of Ohio--but one of the pharmacists thought it was cool to have a pharmacist win a lottery prize and posted her pic for inspiration (as this pharmacist was in the same 8 person lottery pool that I was in) and I guarantee she was right--if they could have identified her--she would have been sued for any medical error or mistake that had been made at her hospital for the past 5 years.

Mega Millions Wash. lottery winner to be revealed
It appears the Washington winner not only picked his/her/their own numbers but bought more than one ticket. Since the other ticket won $150, it either matched 3+1 or 4+0 which lead me to think they had a particular set of numbers to play or might have used a system with a pool of numbers smaller than 56 which took several tickets to cover. It will be interesting to read how they picked their combinations if they chose to reveal it.

Mega Millions Wash. lottery winner to be revealed
In my view, this means we'll see a single winner (or a couple/family). It is extremely rare to see a pool of players that doesn't play quick picks.

Are there some lottery machines better than others in picking winning numbers?
I always complain to my boyfriend that we have no chance to win the lottery in a little piece of crap town because it seems the only people that win are from big states/cities and he always tells me it's simple math...the more people = higher chance of a winner being from that pool and i say see thats why i wanna play from one of those places! And he just shakes his head at my retardation, lol.

Mega Millions Record Breaking Run
I have a feeling that we may see a record breaker with this run by Mega Millions. This year will be a year of unusual breakthroughs. Why not start it off with a record-breaker! Just think, we've all put money in the pool of a $400,000,000 Jackpot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is a joke!!
he would say with %100 certainty that the numbers wil fall between 1 and 59 or what ever the pool is. and from there it gets more difficult.

Christmastime battle over lottery jackpot
Lottery pools, in general, are a bad Idea. And if you do a pool, you should only do it for Powerball or Mega Millions Jackpots for well over 100 million dollars and not 16million (annuitized value BTW)

Christmastime battle over lottery jackpot
I don't get why people play in pools. I mean this pool bought 8 tickets a drawing. Why not just buy 8 tix for yourself and if you win you don't have to split it? Your chances don't increase that much with pools so I don't think it is worth the hassle.
