A Wayne County, Michigan, woman had a dream that she won $4 million on a scratch-off lottery ticket. Four months later, it really happened.
The 28-year-old woman, who chose to remain anonymous, told the Michigan Lottery that after having her dream, she started buying $30 instant tickets.
Recently, she purchased a Millionaire's Club ticket and revealed a win symbol.
When I scratched off the prize and saw '4MIL,' I couldn't stop shaking and crying, she told the Michigan Lottery. I call

$273M Mega Millions jackpot winner from NJ says he initially forgot the lottery ticket at the store
what's the harm in confirming it?
They need to know he's actually the winner before confirming it. The story says somebody asked if he won on Wednesday morning and that a Limo was soon to pick him up. When the lottery declined to confirm him as the winner on Wednesday morning it may have been before they had even seen the ticket, and certainly not more than an hour or two after seeing it.
This smells a bit like Jack Whittaker initially.
I was thinking David Lee Edwards, with a touch

NY Gov Cuomo vetoes bill that would have allowed lottery jackpot winners to remain anonymous
The governor added that those wanting to remain anonymous under current law have the option of forming a limited liability company to collected the winnings for them.
News to me, but maybe he just has a different definition of anonymity. I've long been under the impression that the NY lottery identified actual people even when they used some alternate legal entity to claim the prize.
Of course if the lottery isn't going to require that at least one real person in the LLC to be identified

A 40-year-old lottery player from Wayne County, Michigan, nearly walked away from a winning 100X The Cash Fast Cash ticket that ended up being worth $416,616.
I stop at the Citgo each day on my way to work to grab a couple things to get my day started, said the player who chose to remain anonymous. I had won a few bucks on some instant games, so I decided to buy a 100X The Cash Fast Cash ticket.

Megamillions $303 million
The first thing I will do after winning is shout about my good fortune from the rooftop, even though Texas now allows for anonymous claiming. I will insist upon a huge press conference, wearing a mask and a t-shirt with my name, address and social security # on it.
After collecting, I will buy a huge mansion, much, MUCH larger than I need and will then proceed to furnish it like a New Orleans cat house, with mirrors and red velvet and also with replicas of medieval armor and cheap knock-of

California office pool claims $543 million Mega Millions lottery jackpot
Coin Toss Redd is talking about gifts taxes not state income tax. What he is saying is that per California's rules a person or persons can not stay hidden..there name must be made public even before someone makes a request. But what we see in this post is that 11 people won yet only one was names. This goes against California own rules. Redd then goes on to say the only way you can do this would be for one person to collect the whole thing and then give the money to the other people but that wou

Lead balloon or good idea?
BobP,
Even if the spouse and kids went blabbing it would hardly equate to state wide or nation wide attention.
I'm sure it happens in states that allow winners to remain anonymous but I don't recall too many horror stories from them.
LiveinGreenBay,
People would still complain about an after-the-fact fee. Consider union members who complain about union dues going up $10 even if the union just got them a $75 raise.
Hearsetrax,
Agreed!

Odd strategy helps Michigan man win $2 million on instant lotto ticket
A Michigan man's lottery strategy doesn't seem so odd anymore after winning $2 million on a Michigan Lottery instant ticket.
The 22-year-old, who chose to remain anonymous, told the Michigan Lottery he likes playing instant games, but only buys odd-numbered tickets.
His strategy paid off when he purchased a Diamond Dazzler ticket at the Busatti Party store at 12868 Eureka Road in Southgate.
The Diamond Dazzler game is my favorite, so I asked the clerk what number the ticket was. When
