What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
ok guru, i read it over in an attempt to understand as much as i could while applying my limited math aimed logic, but i still can't get past the future attempt at prediction based on past results . i kinda understand how filtering works, even layers of filtering, but what good (in my mind) is shuffling numbers around in any fashion, in any order, as many times in the wash until it looks just right.....if all that ever takes place at intial inception is each ball having the same equal chance,

North Carolina's Latest Pre/Post draw list
Some people think the lottery should not conduct pre draws because their system might possibly pick the next winning number. And if the lottery just loaded the machine with the same balls they used in the previous drawing that somehow the numbers people played next using their systems will also be winners. Some people want all the lottery's to post their pre draw results before the game so they can use some system that works for them to try and trap the next number out.

Wave pattern analysis and lottery draw histories
Josephus No problem. I have noticed that much is said about the product of random but very little has been posted about what makes random, random. Working with digits I have often had times when I choose all correct digits and had all the numbers but after filtering them down I find several 2 of 5 and maybe a 3 of 5 remaining. Filters are ticket slayers and they are also indiscriminate. If the skills I have aquired over the years are anything more then educated guesses then I w

Jimboo-boo!!!! Too bad you can't program a fancy scientific backtest. Hardest part might be programming, in your case. But IF you were a programmer, you could have built 90% of the necessary tools to see a bit RL's system just by what he has posted thus far. Of course, that takes work, initiative, and drive. The only stick-to-tiveness you employ is the letter 'D.' Denigrate, disparage, and deride. There were some worthwhile posts with nice points this morning. RJOH, ameriken, and Guru101 p

Very few overall really tackle system play at the level needed to produces results . i don't mean to be sarcastic, but i do mean to prove a point that no one demonstrates sustained repeatability enough to prove systems work, and that most pointedly now includes you. are you saying it's just because you don't assign enough effort towards it that you couldn't singlehandedly prove the naysayers wrong? this is what i am getting at....the hypotheSIZING to explain away that it works , withou

no sir, i have been here at LP long before jimmy was a glint in todds eye....lol (9 years at LP to be exact) as far as we do know, no QP player has won either, but.....that doesn't negate my previous factual statements. it's not a 70/30 thing anyway that precludes successful methodology, that's just a percentage-wise fact of how the lottery does shake out based in luck. 70% buy QP's. it's math that 70% would also win in a random event. trust me when i say i am not just pro QP. i am not.

Louisiana Lottery players snatching up raffle tickets before bonus draw
More than 117,000 already sold Besides offering the best odds of winning $1 million in the May 12 finale drawing, the Louisiana Lottery's newest $10 raffle game, Millionaire Bonus Raffle, is giving players five more chances to win $20,000 if they purchase their tickets before midnight March 23. By Monday morning, more than 117,210 raffle tickets had been sold and will be entered into all five of the game's preliminary bonus drawings as well as the finale drawing. The first bonus drawing is

What Does It Take To Win (Mathematically Speaking?)
oh trust me..I can do it more than JUST SOMETIME...that field I used for Illinois is my repeating field I designed, ie 089 twice..and when 1 starts ,one or more of them should repeat as well..I have briefly demonstrated this new run to my fellow LP members in the past several months..this is nothing new..but it is the best run I have ever designed and it works wonderful!!!! I see you are a new member..you have lots of reading to catch upon...!!!!! and RANDOM IS NOT MATH..it is completely

Why not all the Probability, Statistics, Calculus Theories applied all in 1 to lottery
I disagree with you Josephus. Backtesting is a good indicator of predicting likelihood. (Predicting likelihood is what backtests are. In probability, LIKELIHOOD is the prediction of pasts events). That said, the problem is 1) working with mixed data, and 2) the data you didn't generate that is a part of the whole. Why would you even consider using data from IL 6/5? linear game with MegaMillions 5/56, plus megaball, which is a dual matrix game? In any case, your choice, so what ha

Determinism vs Randomness and Chance
garyo1954 Jimmy is a legend in his own mind. Everything he has posted is common knowledge. He searches the web for some article that he feels will support his topic of the day which is also the source for his topic of the day. I am not nearly as absent minded as he thinks. He feels that statistics rule the day and overall I would agree. One only needs to look at his analysis of maddogs challenge to see the effect that I have so many times tried to explain. Notice that one player
