Law creating N.C. Lottery to be reviewed by state's Supreme Court
North Carolina's highest court will decide whether the Legislature approved properly a bill that created the state's education lottery.
State Supreme Court justices scheduled oral arguments Monday in a lawsuit originally filed by taxpayers who sued state and elected officials.
At issue is whether 35 percent of the price of each lottery ticket constitutes a tax. If so, the state legislature violated the North Carolina Constitution when it approved the lottery in 2005 because it did not foll

just telling everyone know how i feel
I'm sorry to hear that life is difficult for you right now, but the best thing you can do right now is cry.
The purpose of crying
Throughout history and in every culture, people cry. Weeping often occurs at precisely those times when we are least able to fully verbalize complex, overwhelming emotions and least able to fully articulate our feelings.
Crying can also be an escape: It allows us to turn away from the cause of our anguish, and inward toward our own bodily sensations.

Judge tosses wife's Lotto suit -- for now
A Miami-Dade judge on Thursday said the wife of a lottery winner cannot go forward with a lawsuit against her spouse until she proves the money should belong to her.
She has no identifiable legal rights at this time, Circuit Judge Jennifer D. Bailey said. Where does the law say you automatically have a right to participate in the proceeds?
Bailey temporarily dismissed the lawsuit Donna Campbell filed against her husband, Arnim Ramdass, an American Airlines mechanic who hit a $19 millio

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. has violated the public trust and can't justify hiding documents about its internal probe into a $21.5 million win by a Cambridge convenience store owner, the province's privacy commission has ruled.
The lottery corporation has until May 9 to release documents related to the probe under a Freedom of Information request filed and appealed by the CBC, assistant commissioner Brian Beamish ruled Friday.

List of States Which Allow Anonymous Winners
Good idea to post the FAQ/email for backup CoinToss.
Colorado - No but allows trusts - email
Dear Lilly,
The only way to really remain anonymous is to set up a trust to claim your
prize. State law requires us to release the name of our
Jackpot winners, the amount of their prize and where the ticket was sold on our
Web site and to make that information available if we ever get an open
records request. If you claim as a trust, the only the trust's name will appear on the site.

Just won $35 million after all taxes from the purchase of a $5 buck quick-pick Mega Millions ticket.
Just found out I won while on break at work. What do I do? I get up and quietly walk out and never look back. From there I would go to my county government building and apply for a name change.
From there, I would go home and sit for a while and listen to relaxing classical music. My wi
