Idaho's biggest lottery winner knew he would win
Lol, SSAN? That kind of prooves my point. I just find it much more likely to chalk it up to there being a Connecticut town with almost the exact same zip but off by 1 neighboring digit that its a typo or that people sometimes have sucky handwriting then I am to believing that there was some sort of secret conspiracy to get a 15 year old kid a dodgy social security card so he could work at Baskin Robins.
And I don't have a clue who paid for college for him, nor do I particularly care. I just k

Cash Vs Annuity Payments
Dear Jackpot Winner,
Please be patient while the temporary restraining order on the disbursement of your annuity funds is in effect during this national emergency.
This will coincide with the temporary suspension of the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
The sundown till sunup curfew will remain in effect until the rioting stops and the lawless roving bands of militia are disarmed and executed.
Unfortunately, I have found it necessary to cancel all elections until my new secret police

Iowa Lottery security chief to grill NY lawyer over Hot Lotto ticket
Yes. Questions do need to be asked.
There was a scandal two or three years ago where some state's lottery tech employees with top-level system access were able to print duplicate winning tickets and have friends claim the money. The tickets they printed were identical to the winning tickets. These guys were sys admins at the state lottery headquarters, and had access to terminals and printers. They manipulated the system so the tickets they printed were identical to the winning tickets printe

Illinois lottery winners' checks bounced
Includes audio report
Eighty-five Illinois Lottery winners last week probably thought they were lucky until they tried to cash in their winnings, that is.
Their checks, totaling $159,000 in lottery winnings, were no good.
Two days after Christmas, Maureen Furio of Lake Zurich bought an instant scratch-off ticket and won $1000. The next day, she got a check from the lottery.
I deposited it the same day and went ahead and paid some extra Christmas bills, Furio says. And Jan. 3, it

Connecticut to audit lottery winners for back taxes
Let's keep things in perspective here.
You're all bent out of shape about peanuts.
Nobody has stolen more money than the government.
The government started Social Security and took it out of our weekly paychecks before we even saw the money. They promised us it would be kept for our retirement years and never used for anything else.
Then they stole it and pissed it away. It's not there anymore. It's gone. It's now operated as the world's biggest Ponzi Scheme with old investors being

Can you play pick 4 games in another state via lottery post?
Cuz people would go play where they could play in real ball drawings instead of our fake computer drawings.
And they would go play where they had better payouts for wins.
And they would go play where they had more interesting games.
And they would go play where they could play a Pick5 game.
And they would go play where they could play a Pick6 game.
And they would go play where they wouldn't have to deal with convenience store clerks routinely trying to rip off winners and a Lotter

West Virginia Lottery rule change raises safety issue
Having to wait on that check or deposit could cause a problem, said Stanley, who said it could also worsen security issues, noting that his bar has been robbed 13 or 14 times since it installed video lottery machines.
Robbed 13 or 14 times? You gotta be freakin kiddin me! WTF?
If somebody was lucky enough to get the drop on me ONE TIME they'd be very lucky.
And the 2nd time they tried it I'd be waiting and they'd be going home in a big black ziplock bag. Guaranteed

New Internet Browers: Which Are Best?
I have tried many browsers thru the years and I like Firefox best, right now I am using version 6, one nice thing are some few of the add ons, but even without them I still like Firefox best.
As to the operating systems, you can always try to tune them for better performance.
I was happy with Win98SE and now I am happy with WinXP and maybe I would be happy with Win7, tinker with them a little and get them as best as you can, security and speed might not be too much of a problem once you ge

Will debt ceiling be increased?
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Like I said, you have to draw the line somewhere instead of doing what they say to avoid the doom and gloom scenario they paint for us every time they do this.
You say the hell should be raised when Congress is working on the budget. Yes, it should be but they haven't worked on a budget in how long now, 4 years?
And the fact of the matter is it wouldn't get done then and there's nothing we could do about it anyway and they know it. Are we
