New York: 9/1 - 9/30/2010
Sorry to hear that about your wife Jack. While it might be against the law it is nearly impossible to do anything since it is done offshore through the internet. If one was to google is internet gambling illegal and choose the past results within the past year, you can find interesting articles and debates.
I am a law abiding citizen and as far as I'm concerned, making bets with a place located out of the country is no big deal. the government should be happy I'm winning because now I am goin

Clerk tried to steal $14 million lottery ticket
This clerk, for all practical purposes stole 14 million dollars and they are going to determine if any charges will be filed???
There's not much point in filing charges if you haven't got a case. The reason that states that run sting operations wait until the decoy ticket is presented for claim to arrest people is that until the claim is made there's no proof that the ticket was purposely stolen. All we know beyond a reasonable doubt from the information in the article is that McCassell han

Undercover lottery investigation tests store clerks' honesty
I can't watch the videos but if the statements in the article concerning the New York Lottery's actions in relation to this sting are definitive of the situation then heads should roll in the upper echelons of the New York Lottery.
It is unfreakingbelievable and unconscionable that the New York Lottery would give potential crooks, cheats and thieves in their network a heads-up on someone trying to catch them in the act. They should have welcomed and been actively involved and participating in

Jackpot Lottery Winmners Going Brioke
I've always been interested in whether you could solve people's problems to some extent by giving them additional cash,
They talk about the majority but the article say 5.5%. So what happened to the other 94.5% of winners. Did they double or tripple their money and never have to work again? Did the majority invest it intelligently and have really improved their situation? Seriously this is a bad article that compared the bottom 5% and equates it to all winners.

God's number
This is from a Yahoo article on Rubik's Cube:
One may suppose God would use a much more efficient algorithm, onethat always uses the shortest sequence of moves; this is known as God'sAlgorithm. The number of moves this algorithm would take in the worstcase is called God's Number. At long last, God's Number has been shown to be 20.
The research, published online, ends a 30-year search for the mostefficient way to correctly align the 26 colored cubes that make up Erno Rubrik's 1974 inventio

A Frightening Analysis
We all know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado. In that context his thoughts are particularly poignant. Last week there was an immigration-overpopulation conference in Washington, DC, filled to capacity by many of American's finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor named Victor Hansen Davis talked about his latest book, Mex

Lobster Nutrition facts:
As delicious as Maine Lobster tastes, it's hard to believe that it's actually a healthy protein. Once for ounce, lobster is actually lower in calories and fat than skinless chicken breast! For those watching their cholesterol, lobster is comparable to skinless chicken breast.
The Mayo Clinic advises that Maine Lobster is a healthy protein. Read the full article here.

Georgia man wins lottery -- again
QUOTE FROM ARTICLE: Of course I was excited, he told Georgia Lottery media relations. I told my sister, and she said, 'Whoop-tee-do.'
Was she quoting Adam Sandler by saying whoop-tee-do ? :)
Congratulations, that is outstanding.
I drove through GA around that time but everytime I tried to buy a ticket the machines were down.
I am also wondering, were the same numbers played and won, or changed up from last time?

Store clerk gets prison term for Ohio lottery ticket theft
The article indicated: The Kroger theft was far more costly to her employer. While she pleaded guilty to stealing $189,000 in scratch-off lottery tickets, Kroger said last month when she was convicted that the actual amount was $530,000. In court Tuesday, the judge noted Kroger now believes her theft totals $550,000 in scratch-offs.
Strong reported on her 2009 taxes that she had $43,000 in gambling winnings.
WOW, out of apx. $550,000 worth of scratch-off lottery tickets, only apx. $43,000
