CASTING - ALL3media - Casting Lottery Winners who want to become investors
You wouldn't moonlight as a roofing or siding salesperson, would you? You know, the kind that try to convince you that you really need something from them and not the other way around? Your proposition and opportunity of a lifetime isn't something anyone needs. I'm trying to think of who would be interested in more publicity Mel, and I just can't come up with any reason anyone would want to be on a TV game show? Mr and Mrs Anonymous suddenly become Mr Mrs Down and Out then

California Lottery officials seized surveillance footage from store that sold Powerball ticket
Wouldn't it be tempting with such information, that if the winner chose not to come forward right away, for them to submit to the public eye a photo of the winner buying their ticket? Or announce: Do you know this individual? Why give any time to claim then? If they use the excuse they are trying to locate the winner because they may have discarded their ticket or may not know they won, I'd only take that as being forced to surface. That is a LOT of money. Sometimes thing

Man in Iraq wins $6.4 million Oregon Lottery jackpot
The number of winners who have been harmed, besides being a tiny fraction of winners, is only part of the story. Maybe sully is being deliberately misleading, or perhaps she's just not able to understand the complete story, but most victims are their own worst enemies. That's especially true of her list. The first couple hadn't presented the ticket to the lottery, so it's very obvious to anyone with a room temperature IQ that the lottery's policies on anonymity had nothing to do with it. Then

Which is better, Skill or Luck?
Luck is important with anything, but it depends on what you are doing. With some gambling events, you do need some skill (from experience) and luck. Something like bowling, golf, you need more skill. Lottery? Well, more luck than skill - but, some skill (if you have a method or can win if xyz occurs). With Scratch Off cards? You need both - Skill from watching, keeping up with the game, developing (or trying) new methods, and some luck because of distribution - which, according to an Insider

Lottery winner's first purchase: a new shower door
A man from west Dublin, Ireland, has described winning 500,000 in the EuroMillions multi-country game as a pleasant shock . He was the sole winner of the EuroMillions Plus 500,000 top prize in last Friday's draw. EuroMillions Plus is an add-on game played only in Ireland that enters the first five numbers on your EuroMillions game ticket in a special Plus drawing held in Ireland the same evening. Adding EuroMillions Plus costs an extra 1 over the regular cost of a EuroMillions ticket. T

Would you be willing to change your name in order to remain anonymous?
For those whose only problem with a name change is the publishing requirement, just rent a cheap apartment in an adjoining state, or in a state where it's easy and cheap to fly to and back in a few hours. Visit every few weeks until residency requirements are met. (I've heard some states have no time requirements, just have an apartment and utility bills in your name. I haven't checked that claim out for myself.) Then publish in a newspaper in that state, change your name to something very commo

It's time the lottery needs to stop releasing a person name and picture when a big win is won!
1. Some of us are clearly talking and making cogent arguments; others are making up stuff as they go along. 2. Intelligent ? Lets you out or at the very least brings into question your reading comprehension. You should read it again, the court upheld the Washington state policy in regards to not allowing anonymous claims. I don't know Washington state laws about privacy, only this: From the Washington's Lottery website: As a public agency, all documents held by Washington's Lot

Missing 86-year-old Detroit lottery winner found dead
Especially in a place like Detroit, MI Family should have never let him go anywhere alone after the win. He just may have told one person, the wrong person, and that caused the beginning of his end. $20K is a lot of money to a junkie, or any number of other desperados. Very sad indeed. RIP I think the lottery should only bring to light the questionable winners, that may need investigation or something. It is just too dangerous to tell the world that so and so won milli

The Lottery Changed My Life...
I would'nt call it hypocritical, it just reinforces the notion that you would rather be anonymous, I watched that TV show Hoarders, and then wanted to clean my basement, garage and home office, not as bad as a hoarder of course but I still got rid of some unnessasary clutter. Seen a video clip today on yahoo news, a JP winner of 18 MILs named Alex Snelius, I think I seen him on LCML but could'nt remember which ep. He's the guy that donates $100 to some charity every time the
