Lottery Jackpot: Etiquette for Becoming Embarrassingly Rich
Enjoy Miss Manners Q A : Etiquette for Becoming Embarrassingly Rich
No Worries
EddessaKnight
Dear Miss Manners,
Some friends and I were discussing what we would do in the unlikely event that any of us won the lottery, and find we need to appeal to you on one major question that came up. What is the etiquette involved in suddenly becoming embarrassingly rich?
Of course, we all agreed that none of us would flaunt it, but the fact remains that, even if one accepted the winnings an

Down to your last $10, would you buy a ticket for one of the biggest jackpots ever?
Elements of this scenerio are true.
Check out Kirby and Marie Fontaine (November, 2009) in Google search.
This couple won the $50 million jackpot Lotto Max prize, which is one of the biggest jackpots in Canadian lottery history.
He was down to his last $10.
He could not work for health reasons.
They both struggled with health and money issues.
They have children.
In my opinion, they did not act stupidly.
What more did they have to lose?
One dollar?

Scratch-off lottery tickets arrive in Arkansas
It turns out $48 million in lottery tickets doesn't look as impressive as it sounds.
Shrink-wrapped pallets arrived by tractor-trailer Monday to a warehouse in southwest Little Rock, a first shipment of about 30 million scratch-off tickets destined to inaugurate the start of Arkansas' state lottery.
Lottery officials dolled up the event for reporters, with two police cruisers and a motorcycle blaring sirens as a semi-truck decorated with balloons and streamers, like a homecoming parade flo

Win $1800.00 Daily
You Can Win $1800.00 A Day Playing This System !
There ought to be a law against selling these kind of systems, but that doesn't prevent our talking about their efficacy.
First of all the headline is true, you really can win $1800 a day if your state holds two Pick-3 draws per day and you play online where a dollar play pays 900 to 1.
The theory is very simple. Numbers that hit straight (in as drawn order) do not come up very often their odds being 1 in 1000.
The player s

Lottery Post member subject of new motion picture
You surprise me, Floyd.
By your account, the fact that Liggett tried to run me off the road is entirely insignificant and shouldn't have raised my suspicions. That I was already half-way out of my vehicle when he collided with me is, apparently, a routine event in rear-end collisions, and should not have caused me to believe he hit me intentionally and may have meant to cause me harm.
I've had extensive firearms training in long arms and small arms alike, both as a civilian and during

Christian Faith and Lottery
You are focusing on the wrongs things.
First, you have to understand that Tithing is all about obedience in your relationship to God.
God does not need the money, he just want to know if we will be obedient in His instructions on what to do with money. It is a reflection of your obedience to HIM.
God says to those who faithfully tithe, they bring food into HIS house (meaning that there is money for the churches to serve the community, its congregation etc.) and that it is an act of obe

$42M lottery winner plans to become a pecan farmer
A Detroit-area man who won a $42 million Mega Millions jackpot plans to retire from Chrysler and become a pecan farmer in Georgia.
Chris Crane, 51, was given a ceremonial check Friday at the Michigan Lottery headquarters in Lansing.
The resident of Macomb County's Washington Township told reporters he will leave his job as a Chrysler service engineer within weeks.
I always wanted to do a little bit of farming, said Crane, who has some property in Georgia. This will be my chance.

Missouri Lottery changing games Monday
Missouri Lottery players will get a new numbers game Monday, but also lose one.
Show Me Cash, a daily on-line drawing, is set to begin Monday when the twice-daily and struggling Show Me 5 Paydown game goes out of business.
Lottery spokesman Gary Gonder said the new Pick 5-style game would offer players bigger jackpots and better odds of winning.
The top prize in every Paydown drawing was a tax-free, lump sum $50,000. But if no player won that prize, cash trickled down to increase the a
