How many people in the pool? When all is said and done, if you wanted to opt for cash and the pool doesn't, what then? What if they do opt for cash and the prize is split so many ways that you have participated in winning a jackpot and still have to work? Everyone winds up with a few more bucks and thats about it? Just things to consider. Don't let the desire of wanting to win put you in a spot where you get a share of a jackpot, but nothing else changes much.

KOBRA, I agree with you that powerball is a bargain for a $1. Have you noticed that people are winning mega millions and powerball sooner?. I really feel that participating in such a large pool of players for a $1 can't be beat. On 5/25/10 a guy won $250k mega millions by betting 1 line quick pick. I wonder how much the national lottery will cost per ticket.

if you are reffering to the post on the system forums that i posted, you are looking for the winning drawing to have your filter specifications...it just means that you will have to wait until your specification comes along you will have to play every drawing that s why there is pool...

For tonight's PowerBall drawing I have reduced the WB pool to: 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 12 13 14 15 16 17 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 28 29 31 32 34 36 37 38 39 40 41 44 45 47 49 50 51 52 53 54 55 57 58 59 and the PB pool to: 04 05 08 09 10 11 12 15 20 21 23 27 30 31 33 37 Now I will use my RNG to pick at least 16 lines that hopefully will have all 44 WBs with the 16 PBs.

I have a lottery pool at work with 13 coworkers. We play a mix of Powerball and Louisiana Lotto tickets. We do a combo of numbers we picked and quickpicks. We've won small amounts of money here and there, but haven't won a jackpot yet. It's fun to do, I enjoy it a lot.

I have never denied the fact that you get more chances by playing multiple tickets. But it is also a fact that you spend more money in the short run.By the way, based on my observations participating in pools is not such a bargain. Pools are great for small wins, but when it comes to winning jackpots they are not more successful than individuals.
