Georgia woman nearly forgot about $5M winning lottery ticket
Connie Habeck plays the lottery when the jackpot is at its biggest.
When the money goes up, I buy like everybody else, said Habeck of Gray. She said she has always played knowing she would split any winnings with her 35-year-old son Robert, who lives in Athens.
What makes the 60-year-old woman different is the $5 million winning scratch-off ticket she nearly forgot in the bottom of her purse.
Georgia Lottery officials awarded Habeck a large cardboard check Tuesday afternoon at Neal's

Feature Change Announcement
In the coming days I will be changing the Buddy/Block List to a blocking-only list (called, appropriately enough, the Block List ).
Right now the only thing that buddies are used for on the Buddy/Block List is to add your buddies' names to a quick drop-down list on the Send New PM page. In other words, there isn't a heck of a lot of use.
So what I'll be doing is moving all the buddies on everyone's lists to their Favorites Members list, and the drop-down list on the Send New PM pag

Couple wins $15 million lottery jackpot after redeeming $10,000 ticket
For a Nevada couple, good things come in twos. And that includes winning big Powerball jackpots in Arizona twice.
Just days after winning $10,000 with a ticket bought at a northern Arizona caf , Barry and Barbara Salzman traveled to Phoenix to collect their winnings and ended up buying another ticket from the Arizona Lottery office. It just happened to be the $15 million jackpot winner.
Of course I don't believe it, I just don't believe it happened, Barry Salzman said at a press confer

Lotto League
Howdy Folks,I'm new to the board and site, so greetings to all.
I'm trying to organize a lotto-bowling league. It's a unique idea with a lot of possibilities. I'm still negotiating the details with the bowl manager.
I'll tell you how it works and then you can offer any ideas or suggestions that I may not have thought of.
The league will have between 40-60 members. League fees will either be $16 or $20 per week. Most bowling leagues in this area cost $13 to $17 per week. We wi

Wintario: The People's Lottery
When lotteries began in Ontario in May of 1975, it came at a time when towns and villages did not have the facilities to train its athletes for the 1976 Montreal Summer Olympic Games. Lottery grants (or at that time more commonly know as Wintario Grants) flowed into buiilding community centres, recreation facilities, and promoting sports and recreation. The lottery WINTARIO was the only lottery to my knowledge that took its live lottery draw to the people's doorsteps and drew the numbers live

Defrauded lottery winner finally gets apology -- and money
More than five years after Bob Edmonds called the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation to complain that he may have been defrauded out of a winning Super 7 ticket, he has an apology and the right to speak freely.
But he still doesn't have the full $250,000 he originally won in the August 2001 draw.
The 82-year-old cancer survivor and resident of Coboconk, Ont., only ended up with a total of $202,000, after a lengthy legal proceeding against the lottery corporation.
The details of the

Thanks for CalifDude
Me's thinkin' that the thank you posts were a way to continue making your point that you don't like Lottery Queen and her supporters. Isn't that what you're doin'?
Todd:
Not precisely true. I couldn't care less one way or the other about LQ and her supporters.
I do, however, sincerely believe they're spamming the Discussion Forum and have been doing so for months, with material that actually is a nuisance to a lot of users on the board. They post hundreds of times each day to bump
