Claiming Anonymous in California Lottery
Hello everyone, I'm new here. I already searched the forum before posting. Similar topics were already closed, so I couldn't bump or reply to them. I called the 800 number for California Lottery today and spoke to a lady. I asked if it's possible to claim a prize with a blind trust. She didn't really give me a direct answer. She said in California their obligated to disclose the winner. Ok, I understand that. But my question was about claiming it anonymous by using the trust's name. She gave

Legislation that would allow people to buy New Jersey lottery tickets on the Internet and by other electronic means continues to advance in the state Assembly. The Regulatory Oversight and Gaming Committee approved the measure this month and referred it to the chamber's Appropriations Committee, which hasn't yet scheduled a hearing on it. Lottery winner has lucky numbers tattooed on his arm
HaveABall, I've got news for you. The highest income tax bracket for the federal government is ~35%. The highest income tax bracket for many state governments is ~10%. I'm just guestimating here. With the federal Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT), it's probably slightly higher. That's ~45% total. Now throw in SSI (FICA) of 6.20% and guess what, you now have ~51.2%!! LOL I don't know if I can post the Wikipedia link here (it could be verboten) so go to their site at Social_Security, United_Stat

Statistically Speaking - QP's and PP's
There it is. Truth Vs. lies. Guilt. Personal integrity is on the line because V.D. s integrity is unapproachable. The guy really should be in politics. You are now expected to apologize for being suspect of poor personal integrity. Might as well say the CFR does not exist. We are so close to a snitch society that it is making Russian transplants blush. Habeas Corpus is long gone, so it is guilty first, and then try to prove your innocense. Before you know it, one s political affiliations

POLL - On The Whole Do The Lotteries Provide Truly Random Numbers?
MzDuffleBagLady, The video showed that they have all the trappings of security and assured RANDOMNESS. However, as a programmer, I was disappointed that they did not address in any way the issue of just what sort of RNGs (codewise) they're using, and more importantly, they didn't even give a hint as to how they seed the process. Having multiple computers and choosing one randomly at each session doesn't tell me anything. All of their computers could be seeded identically! It may very well

Iowa Lottery to look at online options
The 25-year-old Iowa Lottery is an offline business in an online world, but Director Terry Rich is out to change that. Later this month, the Lottery will take bids on a new computer system that will allow players to check their tickets at automated kiosks in retail stores as July 1, 2011, Rich said Tuesday (Aug. 3). He also expects the Lottery to attract younger, tech-savvy players by delivering games electronically, including games played on smart phones. There are security issues prev

Should illegal immigrants be able to claim lottery prizes?
Whether we can play overseas is not the issue at hand. This isn't a tit-for-tat. If a person who sneaks into this country and plays online will have to use a legal friend to cash the ticket, if they are stupid enough ito trust an online company in the first place. Then the illegal spends the rest of the time here illegally, but richer. Or sends the money back home illegally. He or she may even cause more trouble because the person now has the financial backing to sneak more immigrants into th
