Florida sheriff fears lottery winner murdered
This is another illustration of why people should not go public after winning a large amount of money. Unfortunatedly not all states will allow you to do this. They care more about publicity than your life. I wonder what kind of relationship he had with his mother. If it was a good relationship he most likely would let her know he was okay so she woudln't worry. Article said he had a large entourage. House he paid one million for sold to lady at 6xx,000, (strange). I fear the worst, I'd

Internet Gambling Law will be voted on and passed in December
I think they delayed it mainly to come up with some kind of laws for it and to make rules for it. The article said that Americans account for 1/2 of 16 billion spent on online gambling. That is a lot. Right now, folks are still gambling online and it would take someone winning probably 1 million or more to get the attention of the Feds. I don't think they will come after some quarter player. The fat cats will get a chance to buy all of the stock in these companies that oversee internet gambl

When you buy a lottery ticket do you prayer that you win the Jackpot?
GOD does not grant wishes and prayers like that when a person wins the lottery it was all his doing no divine intervention.I read an article awhile back of a guy who was a DRUG dealer that won the lottery and continued too sell drugs and even owed back child support. He got caught and was ordered too pay all support he owed but he was still allowed too keep his lottery win but had too pay for other things because of his conviction. So I cannot believe that GOD decides who wins, answers prayers too

Cheated winner wants Texas Lottery to pay up
I'm very skeptical that the courts will find that to make the clerk an agent of the lottery. The court has already made a ruling. investigators determined that Willis had bought the ticket, and they gave their findings to the Travis County District Attorney's Office, according to police. A Travis County grand jury indicted Joshi on the offense of claiming a lottery prize by fraud, a second-degree felony. The article goes on to explain over half the money has been recovered. As fo

Can I get some help with online lottery tax info
Anyone that thinks I am a tax expert is mistaken - but I do take time to read rules that apply to me. I posted three articles. The article I posted about Gambling Sessions was specifically for you, Stack. In the first 2 paragraphs is how you calculate gambling. Hint: It's NOT the way you posted above. https://www.lotterypost.com/thread/201998/1437525 You can go on doing what you are doing - doesn't bother me in the least, as long as you know it is wrong. Same goes for Tigger, go on d

Orlando Powerball Winner
The Orlando Sentinel online has in-depth coverage of the winner of Fla's largest jackpot, Dr. William Steele. It's interesting to see some of the comments being posted about the article. Many people resent that a wealthy doctor won. I have to admit that was my first reaction as well, but after learning a little more about Dr. Steele and his plans for the money I'm glad it was him. I think it'll be interesting to see how an INTELLIGENT, charitable person will handle the windfall. Just a couple of

Getting the Edge , may require going out on the limb !!
eddessakngiht Sometimes if you copy an article and post it the picture goes in auomatically. That's how the pic of Stupak went in. But usually, when you see a pic you want to use, right clock on it, a box appears, then click on Properties. That will show a web adddress for the pic. Copy that to your clipsboard by highlighting it and pressing the ctrl and C keys together. (That's the keyboard shortcut for Copy). Then when you are posting, in the first row of icons immediately below the m

Bulgarian lottery repeat probed
The numbers - 4, 15, 23, 24, 35 and 42 - were chosen by a machine live on television on 6 and 10 September. The article doesn't state whether the machine is an RNG or a mechanical ball-type machine. Does anyone know? An official of the Bulgarian lottery said manipulation was impossible. This is the standard argument used by lotteries that draw their numbers electronically, and I'm also skeptical about the mathematician's figures. At minimum, the odds of identical numbers
