I always play:) To be honest, I don't mind the lower jackpots because if I were to win something insane like 200 million my head would probably explode :P My overall goal is to win $1 million- I'd be happy with that! Which reminds me.. I have to run out sometime tomorrow and get my ticket!

Many state have local games of 6of47 to 6of49 with jackpots of $10M+ with odds of 1/11M to 1/14M, but that's a little over kill if your target is only $1M.

Probably 300 or 400 million. Maybe not even then, but I don't play too often anymore. Just when I see really big Jackpots, compared to the odds.

I know it's only been 4 months since the Powerball change but I was just thinking.....if it doesn't turn around for them do you think they will ever concede and drop the starting jackpots and the roll the price back to $1?

WTG James1 and nice hit BDB! In following the last week or so about how hard it is to win here in FL lately, I'm now going to commit to playing just one $20 and one $10 ticket. Just can't decide which one. GRT seems to just be milking folks these days and I'm not chasing jackpots but one that will likely still hit for $100 or so. $20 - BDB, LFL or Monopoly? $10 - 200MS or FL Black?

The reason the lower tier prizes are what they are is so the jackpot and 2nd prize can be as high as they are. Can't have it both ways. Can't have high low tier prizes and big jackpots too. People play MM and PB for the jackpot prizes.

In texas, it says sign ticket before claiming lotto texas, mega millions, and powerball jackpots prizes, also any prize over $1,000 must be claimed at the texas lottery headquarters..Prizes over 599 must be claimed at a claim center or by mail..to claim by mail, send signed ticket and completed claim for to the texas lottery headquarters ..the tlc is not responsible for tickets lost in the mail:-) and prizes must be claimed 180 days after draw date..thats all

There's no reason that couldn't happen more if only winners of large jackpots would commit themselves to finding other deserving families to share an equal potion of their winnings. Perhaps if you play and ever win large, you will do that.
