Court rejects Colorado man's claim to full $4.8M lottery jackpot he unwittingly split with scammers
There wasn't a legitimate winner
Can you show us where anybody in the lottery said the ticket that Shaw tried to validate was illegitimate? I can show you where Terry Rich said, The jackpot from the rigged 2010 draw was ultimately not claimed and distributed among the sixteen states participating in the lottery .
Instead of creating terrible straw man arguments, you really ought to do some research. On November 9, 2011, three months AFTER Dawson won, Philip Johnston to claim a ticket tha

New Jersey lottery ticket wins $315.3 million Powerball jackpot
Sound like someone cheating. How could this be (3 times in 3 months). This game is very rigged. The odds are so high to win so how could this happen (3 times in 3 months). I just cant believe it.
Sounds like something like this:
A former lottery worker was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Tuesday for rigging the system in several states so he could collect the jackpots.
Eddie Tipton, former security director of the Multistate Lottery Association, received the maximum sentence from an

I am CONVINCED only way you WIN BIG if they let you win!
Considering the Hot Lotto fraud, numerous RNG issues, and other various glitches, it does make many wonder whether it's even worth playing various lottery games.
Can you list any issues where there was a deliberate attempt to prevent players from winning? Even with any of the games where Tipton knew or controlled what the winning numbers would be there was nothing that prevented anyone else from playing those numbers and winning. In the case of Hot Lotto you'd only have gotten half of the j

Hot Lotto multi-state lottery game to end in October
In our opinion, we think this was a dry run for a Computerized Powerball.
We saw something similar to this when we lived back in Wisconsin.
Wisconsin introduced Badger 5 and when we wanted to watch the drawing, we found out it was not televised.
Turned out it was Computer Generated Numbers.
It went on for a while, then Wisconsin switched all their games to computers.
Maybe with the Tipton event, they're rethinking this computer generated bug-a-boo, We hope.
Can you imagine the

Man files lawsuit over rigged lottery jackpots
How did the lottery cheat anyone?
That's the question the defense will be asking, and the plaintiff will need to have a compelling answer. That a crime causes harm to people besides the primary target doesn't make the target responsible for the injury to others unless the target somehow contributes to those injuries. I'll happily agree that the lottery's security protocols were seriously deficient, but they allowed Tipton to (presumably) take advantage rather than causing him to take advant

Preliminary hearing rescheduled for Tommy Tipton in lottery rigging case
Investigating drawings up until Tipton's manipulations were discovered would be sensible. The only reason to investigate drawings after that date would be more security shortcomings. If they're not complete morons (a possibility I won't discount) they would have immediately stopped using any RNG that could possibly have been compromised, thereby preventing future issues. If they did that then there's no rational reason to worry about subsequent drawings on those dates.
I see only two possibil

MUSL seeks to dismiss lawsuit over rigged jackpot
LOL!
Unfortunately for Dawson, he doesn't really have a case. The reason being is that if Tipton had not allegedly tampered with the computer, someone else (such as myself), may have won that drawing that Tipton won.
There was a high probability that there would not have been another rollover. The jackpot was over $16 Million. - A rather high jackpot for Hot Lotto.
I am upset and feel that The Lottery owes me $1000, the amount I played and was cheated out of!

Iowa Lottery CEO Terry Rich answers your questions
Hello and welcome! Couple of questions for you..
Can you share with us what additional measures have been put in place to prevent future fraud? Throwing away everything Tipton touched is a good start, but I would hope that more is being done. You may not be able to share publicly the exact strategies you're using, but I think the community would feel better if they knew that you were, for example, increasing random testing like polygraphs. Brain wave scanning is also a very intriguing concept

Iowa Lottery promises to work harder to stop cheaters
Iowa Lottery officials pledged Tuesday to tighten security of lottery tickets and bolster efforts to obtain restitution from persons convicted of lottery-related crimes.
The officials detailed their plans at a meeting of the Iowa Lottery Board in Clive, where they responded to allegations that security problems persist in the state-run lottery because of a failure to fix weaknesses spotted years earlier.
A recent investigation detailed cases of Iowa retail employees stealing lottery ticke

$167 million Powerball lottery winner arrested a THIRD TIME after burglarizing home for $12k
Maybe they should also investigate the Powerball win. You know he cheated.
I refuse to believe Eddie Tipton is the only lottery cheat out there.
